"I ordered flowers for my mom's birthday from Country Floral. They have such a lovely store and are known for being a great florist, but they really missed the mark this time between the bouquet and the customer service. My mom received her flowers yesterday. They were perfect. When she woke up this morning, some of the alstromeria flowers had fallen over (less than 24 hours after delivery) and it makes the whole bouquet look a bit sad (especially for over $100) because of these downward pointing, crestfallen flowers. I called Country Floral and my experience started off wonderfully, with the person on the phone offering to send someone right over to switch out the flowers. They arrived within the hour. Great job. However, the woman told me mom that she thinks it looks just fine and won't replace the crestfallen flowers because "they just grow downward sometimes". Well, they didn't look like that yesterday, and if that were actually the case, don't put flowers that grow downward and appear dead into an expensive bouquet. Alstromeria is my favorite flower, you can buy a bouquet of them for $3.99 at Trader Joes in CA so I have them nearly all the time at home and know how inexpensive they are, and also, how if they droop like this, their stem is dying. In any case, we had to just cut out the flowers ourselves and toss them to make the bouquet beautiful. Unfortunately, Country Floral didn't make my mom feel like a birthday queen with this attitude and I do not feel like my dollars were well spent. Next time, I'll pick a different florist."
