DeLaney Homestead Historic District

Located at 170 South Chambers Road in Aurora, Colorado, the DeLaney Homestead Historic District is a museum that showcases the rich history of the area. Within Aurora’s local government, historic preservation is taken seriously by the Aurora Historic Sites and Preservation Office (AHSPO) and the Aurora Historic Preservation Commission (HPC). The AHSPO is responsible for maintaining city-owned historic landmarks, assisting with landmark nominations, and reviewing federally funded projects that impact historic buildings. The HPC, established in 1985, works to preserve unique community assets through community outreach and a landmarking program.
