"We had water damage in our kitchen from a waterline attached to our fridge. We called our insurance company and they recommended Team K Services. They came out to evaluate our situation and the mitigation team was quick and thorough. Team K put together an estimate and got it to our insurance company and it seemed like it was going to be a painless process. After the tear out process and drying out for 5 days, we were left with a torn up kitchen, no garage door, uneven flooring, and an exposed main floor bathroom with no toilet. We were eager to get things put back together and have the functionality of our living space back in order again. It took 2 weeks for the restoration team to come out and start the restoration process and from then on we would see a little bit of work get done and then we would be put on another waiting phase, and so on. After 5 months, 3 project managers on our home project, and countless emails and phone calls to inquire about our project, we finally closed our project after having them come and fix multiple things that were done poorly or incorrectly. We felt like we were always put on the bottom of the priority list, we were told that payments would be handled by Team K Services and we did not need to pay contractors that were hired but then they wouldn't get paid and would come to us for payment, we were not fully informed on restoration processes and ended up with door frames that are too short and look unfinished, and still have a section of our new vinyl flooring that is bubbled and not "settling" like they said it would. I gave Team K Services 2 Stars for the mitigation team and their quick response but this company needs to re-evaluate their communication processes with each other and with their clients, they need to prioritize their jobs and make sure that customers are satisfied and taken care of in a timely manner, they need to pay their contractors and never make their clients deal with late payments because they are not paying them and taking care of their responsibilities, and finally they need to follow through on the work that is done and make sure that it is done up to superior standards and not left looking like a sloppily done job. There was a high turn over of account managers during our project which accounted for a major lack of communication and confusion. I'm not usually one to give a bad review but I wanted to give an honest review on our experience with Team K Services because I want others to be aware of what they may be getting involved in. I do sincerely hope that Team K can learn from these experiences so that they can improve their practices and do better for their customers."
"Long story short, our house flooded and Team K Services came to our rescue. From the very first call, there was a Team K person holding our hand through the process. First, it started with Nate to coach us through the start and get us connected to the right people. Then Erick and his water mitigation/demo team came in. Since insurance was covering this huge project, there were a lot of hoops to jump through and ended up being a long drawn out process. (To be clear, this long process was due to insurance, not Team K.) Erick and his team really went to bat for us. They advocated on our behalf with insurance and all around had our backs. At this time I had a newborn, 2 year old and a husband recovering from surgery, so I cannot tell you enough how much of a relief it was to know that Erick was handing everything. He was an excellent communicator, so friendly and very professional. We ended up having to move out of our house before demo due to asbestos. Because of the relationship Erick and the team built with us, I did not have any hesitations in trusting them alone in our home. They were also very accommodating , knowing it’s difficult to do much with two small children. This meant meeting me at our temporary housing for signatures or working around my schedule for meetings. When I brought my baby and toddler around, they we welcoming and so sweet to them (this goes for both demo and reconstruction teams). Once the demo was done, Erick passed us on to the reconstruction team where we met Nick and David. They both were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and were great to work with. We truly have no complaints. Any frustrations my husband and I had in this process, really wasn’t due to Team K but because of insurance’s involvement or complications with the holidays. The only “complaint” (if we were to be picky) we had was with the crew that moved our items from the POD back into our house. We found a few items that were broken or lost. It truly wasn’t that big of an issue. When I brought up the broken items, Team K did not hesitate to cover the cost of replacing them. Overall, my family and I saw how Team K really went above and beyond for us. They truly made an incredibly stressful time better. I also want to give a shout out to Louis Jr. I’m not sure if he was demo or reconstruction but we saw him throughout the process. He was always so friendly and helpful! Side note: I would like to note that, as a woman, I never once treated poorly or belittled working with Team K. I know that may seem dumb to mention but if you are a woman dealing with any type of contractor/construction crew, you know that it is very common to be treated in a belittling/dismissive manner. Team K was ALWAYS kind, respectful, and great to work with. Several contractors I’ve worked with in the past were dismissive to me, especially when they found my husband worked in the same industry. It was refreshing to work with Team K. I have and will continue to recommend these guys to anyone in need of their work!"
