"I saw Dune 2 in IMAX there and the sound was terrible. It was rattling the whole time. They need to secure their speakers. Almost ruined the movie. It was my second time seeing the movie so I know it was not supposed to sound like that. I saw it at a different theater the first time."
"It’s fine. The IMAX isn’t laser which sucks. But the Dolby here I like better than Westminster’s. The sound is more centralized. They’ve got this weird thing with popcorn sharing cause you don’t get a paper box but instead they have paper bags that are really small and impossible to pour popcorn into. Employees have always been great and helpful and kind, so that’s cool. They should get pay raises, cause living in Colorado is expensive. I think that’s about it. OH! They have glass “rails” between the rows and those are not kept clean so you are pretty much guaranteed to have 4 inches of the bottom of your view covered with smudged glass. That’s cool, I guess. Better than subtitles. (Hopefully that’s very obviously a joke.) but the glass part being dirty and well existing is not a joke. They need to put laser projectors in all the theaters asap."
"Loads of theaters, I'd recommend Imax with Dolby. It's on a different level. Buying tickets at the kiosk saves you a couple bucks if you aren't a rewards member."
"Took my kids and their cousin (3, 4, and 6 years old) to see Wish over Thanksgiving weekend. The seats were super comfy! One star! The theater we were in (theatre 14) had balconies in front of each row. The kids couldn’t see more than the top half of the screen because the balcony was very high. I totally understand it’s there for safety. However, if smaller children can’t see the screen, it should be noted when purchasing the seats. Keep in mind, this was for a KIDS movie. The kids ended up standing during a good chunk of the movie. The next day I called and spoke with Roger, the general manager, and shared my concern with him. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. He was incredibly rude and shaming and listed off all the things I should have done differently. instead of being discrete, I should have drug the three kids out of the movie and stood in a line to come tell them about the issue. I explained that there were balconies in front of all the rows so it would have been an issue regardless and that I didn’t want them to miss part of the movie. he refused to provide any type of compensation because we finished our experience and didn’t raise the concern earlier. I really thought I was doing the right thing by being patient and discreet and not throwing a fit about it in front of my kids or in public. I guess I know world of Karen’s, you have to act like a Karen to get your point across. So disappointing."
"I consider amc theaters to be more higher end when choosing movie theaters because of their ticket price but not only are their snacks extremely overpriced (I paid 8 dollars for a 4oz bag of fruit snacks) their seats are worn out and ours had a huge tear on it . For the price of tickets I’m paying and the amount I’m spending on food and drinks, the area I’m spending two hours or more at should be nicer and clean. The layout of our “room” was also very inconvenient . The staircase blocked a corner of the movie from where we were sitting . Besides this , the person at the concession stand was rude and arrogant despite us only being polite and respectful. The person (w/ blue hair) who scanned our tickets though was very nice and polite ."
