"When I originally moved in I was highly disappointed. However, they have made several improvements and things are great. Mariah is especially helpful in the leasing office. They have a new maintenance guy that actually cares and he's been great. We are happy here. As far as crime goes, I haven't had any issues."
"This community had the potential to be great but has just fallen short for us. To start, the website has false advertising. We are a military family and weren’t able to look at homes before moving so when we found Pikes Peak Heights and saw that they are single family homes with fenced-in yards we jumped on signing the lease. When we finally arrived we found that we have a duplex home and no fenced yard, just a pile of rocks that is connected to every other duplex around us. The picture of the house shown is also not what a single house here looks like. We also have had many issues with the house in terms of construction. There was no walk through like every other place we’ve rented so we weren’t able to share what we saw needed fixed at move in. On top of that, our outdoor steps and driveway needed fixed not long after we moved in. Without notice they ripped out our stairs and half of my driveway. Another issue is that nobody seems to care for our safety. Our security systems do not work and we cannot get help on fixing them. Our car and garage were broken into and when we talked to the leasing office because they took our garage door opener the woman basically laughed and blew off our concerns. This could have been a great neighborhood with how nice the neighbors are and it being a nice location but it unfortunately is not . I would not recommend living here to anyone."
"If we could move out, we would. Upon move in, we have made several maintenance requests regarding non-working appliances — our shower, dryer, garage door, front door, and security system just to name a few. Our application was approved in the beginning of October. It is now the middle of December. Has management fixed a single thing yet? Nope. Just a few days ago, I received a phone call in the middle of day saying a tech needed permission to enter our home to fix our dryer, otherwise he was going to leave. I called back and spoke with Kristina, who said the tech does not make appointments, has no schedule or contact information, and if we didn’t get it fixed right then and there, there’s no telling when we would be able to get our dryer fixed. I asked if the tech could come back to the house in two hours when someone would be home and she said the tech isn’t going to wait around for us. Completely rude and unhelpful. As if we haven’t been waiting since November. Also, if you’re the communication between us and the warranty, why not give us a heads up? This could have been an opportunity for new management to show they are taking our issues seriously, but apparently this isn’t a one off situation. The entire community is receiving this treatment. Also, the houses are built cheap and I’m not convinced they were properly inspected. Just don’t."
"I am a current resident. We applied for an outside edge house in the community only to be told when we arrived none were available and the map on the website didn’t work. We were upset and felt lied to. We were also led to believe we would have a fenced in yard and we don’t. In the 2 months we have lived here- we had a fuse blow that we had to wait over a week to be fixed- so there were no lights in 1/3 of the house. The garage door wouldn’t work for the first week. We were FINALLY sent the adt info needed to set up our account after paying for install that was already installed & 2 months of service without actual service. STILL waiting for our doorbell tech to come out so we can have footage to share with the cops. There have been 3 instances so far in 2 months of houses on my street being broke into and the cops needing footage to help that I couldn’t provide. When we reported some of the issues to the front office they laughed instead of addressing concerns. Multiple neighbors have reported issues to the front office that they closed out and never fixed or have been ignored all together."
"The view is excellent, and all of the new houses and the landscaping make for a gorgeous neighborhood. I love all of the appliances (especially the dishwasher!) and the massive island makes the kitchen a delight to create in. The double paned windows provide noise proofing and insulation for peace of mind AND lower energy costs. The tankless water heater has never failed us. Not even when both showers, the washer, AND the dishwasher are running all at once! The garage is spacious; the floors are beautiful and easy to clean. I could go on and on, but me, my wife, and my five kids absolutely love Colorado, Colorado Springs, and Pike's Peak Heights!"
