Reviews of Quail Run Apartments
"Icy and Noah are wonderful! I’m so happy with this apartment complex. I have great neighbors and a gorgeous view! Nicely maintained and well taken care of. Quiet and pleasant."
"Had problems from day one Pros - 1) It was in a convenient location 2) The maintenance guy AJ, was the best part of my stay here. He is friendly and was very helpful. He is The reason that Quail Run Gets even one star. 3) Washer and dryer in the unit. Cons - 1)You have to pay for a carport, whether you want one or not. This is not factored into the amount per month that is quoted, so you have to pay an extra $20 a month. 2) The policy for canceling your lease sucks. You have to give two months notice and it has to be written. You can't just say that you are going to be leaving at a certain date. If you don't sign this document then and you are getting ready to leave then you will not only have to pay $1000 for breaking your lease, you will also have to pay two full months rent. That means if you were in a one bedroom and you pay $1518 a month they you will actually be paying $4,036 to get out of the lease. 3) You have to sign an addendum that says that you will not smoke marijuana, I was thrilled. The smell of marijuana makes me sick to my stomach. Because Quail Run said that they are a drug free complex, I made the decision to sign the lease. That was on a Friday and I didn't start moving things over until that night when the office was closed. The first night it smelled like marijuana in my apartment, and also for the next two days. When Monday came around I went to the property manager and said that they weren't honest about this being a drug free complex and I wanted to be let out from my lease. I was told that I would have to break my lease if I wanted if I wanted to go. I paid the first month, so would have to pay an extra month, the $1000 put a few extra days to get out of the lease. Meaning as I stated in con number 2 that I would have to pay over $4,036, to get out of the apartment, when they were not upholding their own policy. Well I couldn't afford, so I had to keep track of every time that it smelled like marijuana in my apartment and I had to keep on telling the property manager that this was still happening. It took at least six months for them to address the issue, and finally the tenant that was smoking marijuana was kicked out and my apartment didn't smell anymore. 4) The road noise from Dublin was very loud. 5) In the bottom floor unit the shower head was super low and I am 5' 5" and it was to low for me. I had to duck every time that I need to take a shower. I actually had a different shower head from my last place that allowed me not to have to crouch. 6) You cannot park backwards in the parking spots and they didn't have a reason why. 7) The water bill is not biased on how much you use. Rather they take the entire amount of water that is used throughout the apartment complex and divide it by the number of people that live there. So if you are trying to conserve water it wont reflect on your water bill, because someone else can use as much water as they want and you have to pay for it. 8) The windows don't seem to have been changed since they building was built. Air freely flows through the seals and dirt is left on the window sill. 9) The concrete floor was freezing during the winter."
"decent place! At first i thought it was pretty overpriced for the style of the apartment, but after touring others it’s pretty decent. walk in closet or a room with two closets spaces. unfortunately it was a super dark apartment as it didn’t face the sun from any point. kitchen is dreadfully small and made it hard for two people to cook/eat at once. the pool was actually nice, hot tub was broke almost all year it felt like. they actually close the pool a little too early in my opinion considering it’s part of the paid amenities. other than that, decent place in a nice location, with interesting staff. OH AND THE LOCK. i would be trapped either inside or outside my apartment for minutes at a time trying unlock the door. it was constantly jammed, or just simply not even allowing the handle to move."
"Place was mediocre but maintenance team was friendly (AJ). The older maintenance guy made me feel super uncomfortable on many occasions and I could tell I was being Watched by the team more because I am a younger female. Manager, Icy hardly responds and is super unprofessional. Most amenities were not available the entire lease. Only was able to use the pool once in a year of being there. Was charged in addition to my deposits being taken away for the apartment “not being cleaned” even though it was deep cleaned multiple times before moving. For the price, not worth it. Went to go remove my abusive ex from the lease and was treated as if I was the problem and was told I was responsible for holes in the wall, even though he left them. Would like my money back for any amenity charges since I was not able to use any other them and my final dues to be covered. Edit: 9/2. Proof of unprofessionalism. I’ve reached out to the office three times regarding an error with logging into my portal since I owe more money after my deposits was taken for some reason. Can’t respond to my email but can respond to this review to save face. Cmon now"
"Apartments look great on the outside, but they are extremely difficult to heat and cool due to poor insulation. I had to apply for LEAP to help pay my expensive heating bills as a low-income college student. The property manager, Icy, was incredibly difficult to deal with even if you have always paid your rent on time. She has a very poor attitude and is not willing to work with you. She charged me over $900 for move out expenses after I had scrubbed the carpets, bathroom, and kitchen myself thoroughly with bleach. Maintenance was slow and I was not able to get my cabinet drawers fixed so they wouldn't fall out in my hands when I opened them. I have never had a move out experience this awful before, and this was my third rental in the Springs before relocating out of state. Also these apartments are way overpriced now. I paid $669 a month for a one bedroom in 2014. Now you can’t move in for under $1k."
