Reviews of Ranchstone Apartment Homes
"Currently waiting on a washer and for my old one to be drained and removed. Maintenance has been notified but no one seems to care about the smell or in no hurry to remove said broken washer wouldn't this safe a step if a new one was to come in. Snow removal looks and has been great this season a lot better than the last couple years. Overall pleased, improvements will be appreciated."
"Part 1 of Part 2 Please read do not move into these apartments. Paint on each floor, sink, bathtub, windows, • water damage on the bathroom floor, under sink mold • The filter was so filthy the dust was falling to the ground; the fireplace was full of dust. • nails, glass, and pin nails were scattered throughout the carpet. • The water faucets were broken. • the shower heads were molded. • window strings have not been replaced in years. • The balcony sliding doors had beehives located inside of it. • and my items were stolen out of my apartment from someone on their maintenance crew. • the master bedroom toilet needs to be replaced is rusted in the inside and smells like poop Just take a look at the pictures and see for yourself. Here is what took place... These apartments are over 20 years old, and they have not seen any renovations. The appliances washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerator, and dishwashers are ancient and have issues with functionality. Don't be fooled by how nice the leasing office looks, that is not the case when it comes to the units. I will let my pictures do the talking for me. My move end date was November 17th and looking at those pictures this was the unit on move in date. I have a two-year-old son. There were nails, glass, pin nails, throughout the carpet. Can you imagine if myself or my 2-year-old son would of got hurt in the process? So, what I did was do the right thing to notify the lease in office that my unit is not ready to move in I had to stay and pay to remain at my old apartment until Ramstad got my unit ready. Sounds easy so far this has been a nightmare. On November 17th I told Marcia the office manager that my unit was not ready, and I was told to come back in an hour, and it should be ready. Marcia also told me that my unit qualifies for the $500 a month move in special. I came back later that day, and nothing changed in my apartment, it was not ready. So, I took off work, had the moving company ready, transferred all my utilities, just to find out on November 17th my unit was not ready that in itself costs me money. On November 20th I emailed Sydney True pictures of my unit and how it is not ready for me to move in. I was ignored for an entire week and was given misleading information. They told me that my unit would now be ready on November 27th. I go to the unit on November 27 to find that nothing has been done so from there I e-mail corporate office. They got involved to make sure my unit was ready. During that time, I had several items stolen from my apartment by their maintenance crew. No one at this point ever reached out to me about my concerns nor an apology for the inconvenience I had to request a phone call from them. On November 28th I received the phone call from Travis Nix, the Sr. Community Director. I explained to him what took place, how I've been ignored for over a week, the inconvenience this has caused me, and he asked me what he can do to make things better. I said Well I have not moved in I'm still living and paying rent in my old apartment so I should not be paying for the month of November. And all the money I have paid so far should come out of my December's rent for computation, and my items that were stolen from my apartment I would like to be reimbursed. Travis said to me he would give me a credit for $975 that should take care of November’s rent and the rest would be prorated. I said to him, Marcia the office manager said that I get the $500 off of my December's rent in addition to that and the amount of money I have paid out of pocket so far should all be deducted from my December's rent. He said let me “he will get back in contact with you about what it is I can do but I do know for a fact I can give you the $975 credit.”"
"I’m flattered by Ranchstone because their execution of the resident's request is like the speed of light and I'm thrilled by that. I had an issue with my laundry machines made a phone call on the weekend here we are Monday with brand new laundry I love it here. I would like to have more gym mats in the fitness room and if possible a piece of pull-up equipment. Thank you for a great place to live I love this community clean and safe."
"I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, this water damage has probably been in the making prior to us moving in 2 years ago. We have been waiting weeks for someone to come fix it and saying we constantly get a run around is an understatement. (The pictures are from the water closet which was locked until maintenance “discovered” the water damages, we obviously noticed via where the fireplace is) This is not my first review, and sad to say the leasing lady asked us to remove our review because of how brutally honest it was. I’m posting this because I’m constantly sick and I believe it’s due to this damage. I have small kids in the house who can’t enjoy being a kid because the damages. I’m disappointed and unfortunately I have put more than 12 hours of my time into researching my rights as a renter as well as hunting the internet for phone numbers the leasing office refuses to give out. Disappointing is an understatement."
"Just given notice of lease renewal. Pay more for filthy corridors, loud residents with uncontrollable children. Air choking cigarette smoke and pot. Supposed to be smoke free environment. I hate moving but I can’t see paying more for ancient appliances. We even bought our own refrigerator to have clean filtered water and space in it and no reduction in rent for our expenses. There are “rules” but majority of residents make their own - like bikes, kid scooters left wherever they want because they don’t want to carry them to their upstairs apartments."
