Reviews of The View at Wash Park
"Would give zero stars if I could. Do not move here. There are better and decently managed apartments in Denver. My AC didn’t work for nearly 10 days in the middle of summer and my unit reached temps over 80° in the timespan. Uninhabitable... All while paying > $2k a month in rent… They basically told me too bad. No rent decrease/prorate for the inconvenience. Were very rude with me as if it’s my fault that the AC didn’t work. Disgraceful Multiple times over the recent year there was water falling from my ceiling in the hallway. Had people interrupting my work to come and go in my apartment to “fix” it. See pics The recycling and trash area is an absolute s***show. See pics My washing machine broke multiple times over the time I lived there as well When I moved in rooftop access was open 24/7. Out of nowhere the new management decided that it would be cut off at 10pm but not for people that lived in top floor apartments. Why? “Because it is a liability”… how in any way is it a liability for the rest of the tenants in the building but not those that live on the top floor? The mental gymnastics are a joke just like Griffis “Blessing”. Employee and resident turnover is so high that it was hard to actually meet any of your neighbors. The staff was a constant rotation of new people that ended up quitting. Neighbors dog barked constantly for the years I lived there and although I had to make multiple complaints, nothing was ever done. Avoid this place at all costs. There are more affordable and better apartments in Denver that won’t steal your “fully refundable” deposit. On my move out date the maintenance worker had me make my movers move their moving truck halfway through my moving process. They are being paid by the hour. He said they couldn’t park where they were loading. Yet in the 3 years I’ve lived here every single time I’ve seen someone move to and from this building they have moved from the exact same spot we were parked. His car as well as another maintenance workers car were also blocking part of the alley. When mentioned he said “it’s employee parking”.. see the picture below. It says “future resident parking”… scum. It’s okay though I would probably be a lowlife loser if I worked there too Also there are fake reviews for this building. Some posted recently"
"I’ve lived here going on 10 months and the building, amenities, and the VIEW are all fantastic but what makes this place especially unique to other buildings I’ve lived in around Denver is the leasing team consisting of Julie and Veronica who are not only extremely helpful but also wonderful people to interact with day in and day out. The residents living here also feed off this positivity making this a great and fun place to live."
"Worth living here for more than just the view. Very responsive and kind maintenance technicians - I have workorders filled within an hour. Common areas were recently updated. The building's not too big, not too small. No joke, they have the nicest pool in Denver. And not to mention, amazing, accessible leasing staff. 11/5 stars."
"I would give this place a 0 if I could. The management office is full of people who don’t know what’s going on and do nothing to address issues. I’ve had someone who works in the office yell at me before for blocking in my parking spot so they could get their windshield fixed. The back alley way is constantly blocked by residents parking where ever they want along with moving trucks and maintenance vehicles which makes maneuvering nearly impossible. I’ve been blocked in my parking spot for 20+ minutes causing me to be late to work. There’s dozens of nicer and more well managed buildings in this city I suggest looking at them instead of My Block Wash Park."
"I really enjoyed my time at My Block! I would say my 3 favorite things about My Block were: 1) The community and size - it's not a massive building and people are friendly; I made a lot of really close friends in the building by meeting folks in the common spaces. Also, because of the smaller size, building management is easily accessible for concerns. 2) The rooftop - the pool is amazing and it gets sun all day. During Covid, this was life changing. It's also a nice perk that there's a bartender for several hours on Saturdays. 3) The gym - rarely busy and it has basically everything you could need. A couple considerations if you're moving to My Block: A) Noise from Speer - if you work 100% remotely or have delicate flower ears like mine, the noise from traffic on units on Speer can be disrupting. However, it doesn't bother some of my neighbors - so just something to consider. Other areas of the building have no street noise. B) Because I work remote and have my camera on all day, I opted to sign-up for a slightly faster internet beyond the free service in the building. I think it works fine for some people but just something to note! Again, I truly enjoyed my time at My Block. The main reason I'm leaving is because of Speer noise (which by the way, management was very kind and offered me another unit) and being newer to Denver, I wanted to explore another neighbored. Will have a lot of great memories from living here this past year!"
