"I have lived here for almost 3 years now. The apartment itself is nice and has been well kept over the years. Maintenance is done as soon as requested and I have never waited longer than 36 hours for an order to be completed. John and Evelyn are kind and they make it a point to get to know all of the tenants at the building. So far I have had a really positive experience living here. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice neighborhood near wash park. The glass balconies are also a plus."
"I really loved my actual apartment, it was quite lovely. I actually lived here twice, but the second time was not a good experience. Work caused me to have a disregulated sleep schedule, and I did laundry at about 10PM once and 6AM another time. Another tenant would somehow spy on me and figure at which apartment I lived in and left nasty notes about how I was waking the whole floor up (the laundry machine is not that loud btw). Instead of ignoring it or even just sending a simple email, the property manager posted an eviction warning on my door. For doing laundry. . Anyways. I would go with this place for the apartment and the apartment alone, but I really have not enjoyed my experience with management because of these. An eviction warning for doing laundry is absolutely insane. I will also just add that this kind of behavior (without even getting into the other tenant somehow watching me secretly and sending notes) makes it difficult to want to move around in the apartment building comfortably. Like... how do you feel comfortable enjoying amenities in a building you pay for when you're getting eviction warnings for laundry. Like, it's uncomfortable."
"My brother and I lived at Casa Cordova from August 2015 to February 2018 in a two bedroom apartment. We are moving partially due to the increase in price that has happened in the last couple of years at this building (and the area in general) but overall we had a great experience here. I will always love this area for how close it is to Wash Park and Broadway but also the fact that the neighborhood is pretty quiet. We always found Sharon and Mike to be friendly and helpful when we needed anything. Our unit was renovated after our first year there, all units I believe now have been renovated with new appliances and flooring. The rooftop area is an awesome perk especially since it can be reserved for group gatherings, as well as the community room. Overall a great place to live!"
"We've lived in Casa Cordova for over two years, and the experience has been great! We enjoy living here so much that we have moved into a new (beautiful) apartment for the foreseeable future. The units are beautiful, and the entire property is well maintained. The property managers (Mike and Sharon) are amazing and do their best to make sure that everything in the apartment is maintained- any request I've made for maintenance has been promptly acknowledged- and same day repairs are typical. The views from the roof are amazing, and its a quiet building so the common spaces are rarely crowded. We're very happy with living in Casa Cordova!"
"I don't know what the last reviewer was complaining about. Mike and Sharon were the best property managers I ever had. Every service request I made was filled in a day and they took it upon themselves to go above and beyond for our building. Some Monday mornings when it was cold out, they put out donuts and coffee at the entrance. Given that the building is old, Mike and Sharon did their best with the upkeep. The outside and inside were always clean. Aside from the property managers, the apartments weren't bad. For what you pay, you get a balcony and an awesome location in Wash Park. The appliances and cabinets in the kitchen were old and need to be replaced soon. You'll constantly hear EVERYTHING from your neighbors above, below, and beside you. Not to mention the constant slamming of doors in the building. But for the price you pay and its proximity to downtown/Broadway, you won't find better value anywhere else."
