"I lived here from July 2021 to July 2022 and I was absolutely miserable. The maintenance man did not clean the unit before we moved in. There was a draft that let cigarette smoke from our neighbors to enter the apartment. Dead insects lined the baseboards, the vinyl floors were sticky, the baseboards were dusty and yellow, there was hair all over the bathroom and painted into the walls, and the bathroom and bedroom smelled like cigarette smoke. The bedroom smelled so bad that we refused to put our bed into it until a carpet cleaner came back out to re-clean it. Next, the toilet and the fridge were broken. The toilet was ran constantly, without filling the tank. We contacted maintenance and they took a few days to come out and still not fix it. I also had them inspect the fridge, because the base of the freezer was hot and it smelled absolutely foul with chemicals. The maintenance man assured me that it was fine, and wouldn’t hear any further complaints about it. The toilet remained broken and the fridge remained hot and foul smelling. I contacted VP and demanded that they replace the fridge because we couldn’t even store food in it, the smell was so bad. We continued to complain about the smell of cigarette smoke coming from our bathroom walls and balcony window and the still broken toilet. They ignored our complaints for weeks before I contacted the local government to send out an inspector to investigate the violations Vantage Point Apartments was guilty of regarding tenant-landlord agreements. The inspector came out and docked them on several violations, including: holes in the bathroom walls big enough to let in pests (and cigarette smoke) and broken plumbing. With their investigation, I sent the property manager a warning that I would not be paying rent if they do not fix these issues. This got their attention, and the property manager inspected the unit and sent his terrible maintenance staff to fix these issues once and for all. All of this within the first month or two of living there. From then on, we dealt with our neighbors playing circus music loud enough to shake our walls, barely being able to use our balcony because they would smoke upwind of our balcony, roaches creeping in from the walls, and various loud, nosy, and unpleasant neighborly encounters nearly every day. Never move here. And if you are desperate enough to consider moving here, buy earplugs, fumigate your unit weekly, and pray that nothing breaks in your apartment."
"*EDIT* The feedback received below by Vantage Point is the most ridiculous statement I have ever received from a business. You are telling me that for two years of documented evidence showcasing everything I stated below, only after my review are you able to realize the issues and address them for other residents? Is Vantage Point saying I could have received help for those two miserable years had I wrote my issues on here instead of filming everything and handing it directly to management via email like they had asked? This place was a nightmare to live in. From August 31, 2021 to when we moved out this year in May, we experienced non-stop nuisance behaviors from three different sets of neighbors. Most of it was noise related. We would have to hear neighbor music from all hours of the day, sometimes as early as 7:30 AM. And it would last for 10-12 hours at a time. At one point the music was 10-12 hours a day for 5 consecutive days. Unattended children were also a regular occurrence. That wouldn't be so bad if the children could behave. I have had to deal with groups of unattended children harassing me while trying to walk my dog, destroying property, screaming through the halls right outside of my door, and blocking stairwells with their bodies and all of their toys which they store under the stairs. I have had to get help from other residents when I found a young child wielding a kitchen knife while attending to two considerably younger children. No adults in sight. The parents don't care. These children are watching each other and come from multiple buildings. Expect to hear screaming and running right outside your door from 7AM to 11PM on any given day or night if you are in building three. When you aren't hearing children, rest assured you will definitely hear other neighbors having scary, domestic, screaming matches. We have even had to deal with our downstairs neighbors getting drunk and laying in the common outdoor area near the pool, blocking the doorways to the building with beer cans everywhere in the middle of the day. People mistreat their animals here. They have fire hazards on the patios with multiple charcoal grills being used by residents, even though Denver city laws and Vantage Point's own lease state that is illegal. Neighbors will leave garbage and literal dog feces in the halls. Several residents let their large dogs roam leash less outside. Expect to commonly see dirty diapers, candy wrappers, broken and rusted bikes and toys, everywhere outside. I would literally watch my downstairs neighbors children throw their garbage into the bush off their patio with adults present. We tried contacting management with documented evidence every time. Barely anything was handled, and certainly was never handled in a timely manner. Alexander in the front office even told my fiancé over the phone on a recorded call "What do you want me to do about it?" when we were telling him about our constant noise issues. Management really leaves you to solve your own problems here. Even when you try and do that in a kind, respectful way, and talk to people face-to-face, the problems will only persist, if not get worse. In fact, the problems never stopped even when we were moving out. On February 21st, 2023 Ali Langworth in management emailed me that maintenance would be right on top of dangerous issues created by unattended children like broken bannisters on the stairs. We left in May and it was still broken. They also have no locking doors to any apartment building. They did when we first moved in, but the broke and were never fixed/replaced. If you decide to live here expect it to be noisy, gross, and unsafe. Be ready to heavily advocate for yourself and document EVERYTHING including phone calls."
"Mimi is great, attentive during the leasing process. She is very helpful and kind. Maintenance so far has been attentive. Neighbors do not clean up after their dogs and the front door slams shut. The office seems engaged with correcting these issues."
"Alexis and the rest of the staff very Freindly and helpful. I am ready to renew my lease and love living here. I feel safe in the neighborhood and everyone in the neighborhood is wonderful. Pools are clean and the workout area is good . Maintenance is quick (as long as they have the supplies) and they make sure everything is done. Pet friendly, but not everyone cleans up after their dog , but that's most people these days I think. My daughter and i are glad to call this place home ."
"I've lived at Vantage Point for about two weeks. *I'll try to remember to give a status update in 6 months - 1 year* LEASING: I leased through Kenyatta and she was fantastic! I contacted a few different Apartment Leasing Agencies in the area and Kenyatta/Collective Glendale were the most responsive. She took me on a tour of a few of her apartments, I wasn't completely satisfied so we looked at two more and one of those last ones I signed. They also had some move-in specials which were a nice add-on. She also recommended Brooklyn Movers to help me move and they were great! MAINTENANCE: I had a few small issues; burner not working, chipped paint, toilet. And Tony was able to get it all done in a few days. Weather ("snow-pocalypse") and weekend added to the timeline but it was done quickly and professionally. GENERAL LIVING: The walls and windows aren't bad. I don't hear conversations unless people are speaking loudly in the hallway but I don't hear neighbors through the wall like I have in other buildings. I will say you can definitely smell pungent cooking when its being done, but it dissipates pretty quickly. There was one homeless issue and I had to call the authorities, they showed up in about an hour to escort the person out BUT I won't fault that to Collective Glendale or Vantage Point, we live in a city, stuff happens sometimes (I'll update if it keeps happening :) ) All in all; good location, responsive maintenance, friendly leasing, reasonably priced (for Denver)."
