Reviews of Heritage at Church Ranch 55+ Apartments
"If there was a zero they'd get it. They can't keep staff. The assistant manager is rude and inconsiderate. She does not complete her assignments and this causes problems for the residents. She's been caught in lies as well. Not a good place for Seniors. They keep adding charges to EVERYTHING! They say it's affordable but it's not. Their response below is worthless. They never respond. Here's more information about Heritage @ Church Ranch. The latest rules and regulations that they just put out renders our patio space worthless. We can't have a screen on the door to let fresh air in and bugs out. Can't have fencing around the patio keeping our pets safe. Public restroom just outside the Community room has poop on the floor, (been there for about a month) there is no toilet paper and the trash can is full. See photos below. Fire doors outside the north elevators won't stay open making it difficult to maneuver for the people with walkers. This has been like this was since a main water pipe broke flooding a large portion of the first floor and displaced some residents. This building is less than two years old and we've had two major water pipes break. The South trash room has a horrible smell from that incident and it reeks not only in the first floor hallway but all the way to the top floor and into some of the residences apartment. They are now charging SENIOR citizens a pet fee for their little ones. My rent was increased $101.00 a month. On top of that a $35.00 pet fee. I asked them to grandfather some of us in since we've been here since the beginning and they refused. This is NOT affordable anymore. When the old manager left she took boxes with paperwork in them and now they find some of the residences paperwork. (Sensitive and personal information) Housekeeper walked off the job because management treated her poorly. Assistant manager is verbally abusive. She also fails to file proper paperwork. Because of this they are trying to charge a former resident for more money after moving out. One woman had an oversight of $50.00 dollars and they put up a 30 day demand for possession on her door for all to see. $50.00 LOUSY dollars? Shame on you. Instead of just calling the woman to get it straightened out they put it out there for everyone to see! That is ABUSE of seniors at it's finest. They wouldn't give one elders woman a replacement key fob that broke without charging her $125.00. After they put identifying tags on out storage spaces we were threatened that we would have to pay $35.00 if the tag went missing. There is no compassion toward the elderly here nor respect. They respond to these review and say they will address our concerns but all we get is arguments from management IF we get a response at all. NOW just caught them in ANOTHER LIE! Another resident ask for a replacement key fob and they want to charge $105.00. When they asked why they gave gave the other resident one for free they lied and said they didn't."
"Most residents are friendly, the office staff is professional and helpful, the common areas are very nice, and the building and apartments are beautiful. It is a non-smoking community, which was the initial draw. The management team does have it's challenges as we are all human and imperfect but, whether you are a social butterfly or a bit of an introvert, this is a decent place to live."
"I love living here! I have wonderful neighbors, the management team is very responsive and alert to keeping the community safe when situations arise. I would definitely recommend masking Heiritage your home!"
"Was one of the first to move in. Only issue I had was my washer and dryer it took a while to get them fixed then in April of this year I was at my daughter's she had surgery I stayed 8 days when I got home the glass on the patio door was shattered they put cardboard on the door after a week or so I said either put a new one in or put plexiglass so I can at least see out it's the end of August and I still have plexiglass on the inside of my door the glass keeps falling shards and all pieces of glass I have a small dog so every time I go out on my patio I have to vacuum the glass up. There is someone smoking pot it gets into my apartment I'm unable to take pain meds otc or prescription it effects my kidneys and the pot smell gives me a migraine so I'm in bed till it subsidies. I love my apartment and where it's located just wish things would be taken care of in a quicker manner and get the pot smokers to quit or move. I know things could be worse but this is a no smoking and pot is prohibited it's the reason I moved here. Many other tenants feel the same love. Hopefully this will help get things better I really don't want to move I do love my home. It's now October 22st I'm still waiting for my patio door It's getting cold at night and my electric bill is higher because the plexiglass let's cold come through so my heater is constantly on and off. I'm on SS so it's tough."
"This senior and pet friendly community is professionally managed by office manager Laurel. The application process is complex, but well worth the effort. (Thanks to Nate) My mother resides in a spacious luxury apartment and she feels very secure and comfortable. This makes me very happy. Facility team members Don and Jay are friendly, fulfilling work orders as quickly as possible. Sometimes there is a wait for repair or fix due to delivery of parts. That is not unusual these days."
