When are they going to stop extorting renters? Never.. they rationalize prices by going ohh its just how it is.. but look you live by a grocery store! Like thats a good enough reason to pay more? Haha no its like that cause all of you are greedy and know you can get away with it. Every year the community gets worse. Crime has gotten worse we asked for parking lot cameras but nothing ever happened. I paid $900 to rent a 1200sqft house once upon a time now its $2500 to rent 800 sqft apt. How is everybody fine with this? I guess everybody's on some prescription drug to not care."

"The only thing I can say for my experience is cover your ass. I lived at Camden Centennial from 2008-2013. Living there wasn't bad. Maintenance was an absolute joke and the manager was hooking up with multiple tenants, but I can do my own home maintenance and I don't care who sleeps with who. The trouble came after I moved out. I was sent a bill for over $2000 in damages including ridiculous things like $60 for drip pans for the stove that cost $12 at home depot and almost $700 for carpet replacement when the carpet wasn't new when I moved in nor was it replaced in my 4 years there. I disputed the charges and provided pics and a video of my final walkthrough that was done with one of the property managers. Never heard about it again. Fast forward to 2017 and I was denied for an apartment citing money owed to a previous property management company. Camden uses a collection agency called Hunter Warfield who are the absolute worst. They'll insult you, swear at you, and a host of other shady business practices. They've got a reputation for making settlement agreements, taking the money, then suing for the remaining balance. They will not send you written documentation of a settlement agreement, they will not send you documentation of a payment arrangement, and if you pay by check, they'll make you wait 21 days for a receipt. I had to take care of this to get a new place, and since they wouldn't send me any kind of documentation, I recorded every phone call with them. To top things off, I was informed that Camden had filed 4 evictions on me. I was never notified of these filings, nor do I have any idea why they would have filed in the first place. I lived in 3 different apartments in that complex over 5 years and never had a single issue. Like I said, my experience at a Camden property was a mixed bag. Living there was nice, but they are a predatory company who will fabricate damages to squeeze money out of you even after you're gone. The regional office showed little interest in discussing this issue with me, the one time I actually spoke to somebody. Other than that, they don't return phone calls. I would still recommend a Camden property to somebody, but only after emphasizing the importance of documenting every nick or scuff to any part of the property, as well as fully documenting the condition of the property when you move out. Hell, I would recommend documenting every communication with them after this experience."
