The drop box accepts a variety of packages, from FedEx Express envelopes and boxes to your own packaging with a FedEx label. Package sizes up to 20" x 12" x 6" are accepted. "***UPDATE***THE ONLY WAY TO BYPASS FEDEX’ AUTOMATED ANSWERING SERVICE IS WITH A VALID TRACKING NUMBER - which if your package isn’t scanned, they consider your tracking information to be INVALID. THEREFORE, CHOOSE “BILLING” FROM THE LIST OF AUTOMATED OPTIONS AND YOU SHOULD EVENTUALLY SPEAK TO A HUMAN AND HOPEFULLY RECOVER SOME LOST FUNDS OR ALL IF THE REPRESENTATIVE WILL MARK YOUR PACKAGE AS MISSING. THEY WILL THEN INSTRUCT YOU TO SPEAK TO THE SELLER OF YOUR PACKAGE IF APPLICABLE TO START THE “LOOSE PACKAGE” PROCESS. Hope this will help some fellow disgruntled and frankly disgusted patrons out there who have been subjected to this deceptive drop box. This unclaimed drop box is SHADY. No local shipment processing center is tied to it! BEWARE. Customer service at FEDEX will not allow you any other information over the phone to customers regarding this, which is even more concerning. The only option was to open a case via telephone, and leave my information. TAKE YOUR PACKAGE TO A REPUTABLE DROP BOX ELSEWHERE, OR BETTER YET, TAKE IT TO AN ACTUAL FEDEX SHIPPING LOCATION AND KEEP YOUR RECEIPT. This drop box appears active, but MUST be involved in fraudulent behavior. When speaking to FedEx Customer Service, a local shipping and processing facility/responsible party for picking up packages from the location IS NOT listed on the FedEx customer service database for them to direct customers to for follow up with questions about the whereabouts of their lost packages. There IS NOT A RESPONSIBLE PARTY FOR THIS DROP OFF LOCATION. Therefore, IF packages are even being taken from this drop box location, they are being STOLEN because they ARE NOT BEING SCANNED AND SHIPPED!!!! Again, NO ONE associated with FedEx as far as FedEx customer service can tell is taking packages from this drop box for shipping and processing. They are not being scanned and the location has been flagged. Most likely this location will be reported to local authorities as this appears to be stealing. FIND a different location until FedEx verifies a responsible shipping/distributing party. You can also help by reporting this location to Google Maps and other sources to help other avoid it and call further attention to the greater problem at hand and that is that someone is actively stealing in broad daylight and getting away with it."
