Reviews of Timber Ridge Apartment Homes
"Love it been here 15 years both places maintenance is top notch thought id write review after all this time."
"I've lived in the Timber Ridge Apartments for 3 years, and I can confidently say it is a great place to call home especially if you are a CU student. The management is very kind, the maintenance crew is helpful and quick, and the location is good. Not to mention afforadable for the area. The only issues I had were mostly with the age of the building, I did notice bugs getting in, especially during spring and summer, but never anything that required an exterminator. The appliances are older but nothing unuseable. I'm not a huge cook so it didn't bother me. I never had issues with noise from neighbors, but that all depends on who you live next to. A few times the hot water heater would turn off but it always was fixed within an hour after calling the office. Overall, I recommend Timber Ridge if you are a college student looking for an apartment. They have everything you'll need, and you can tell they do care about you. They don't hike up the rent an absurd amount each year either. I would stay with them longer, but I have to move for my job. The only thing I wish they would change is adding parcel lockers. It is pretty annoying only being able to get your packages on weekdays before 5pm. Thanks to the management and maintenance crew for being awesome!"
"For Boulder, this place is a steal as far as rent goes and granted, you get what you pay for. The old buildings have been somewhat kept up to date and are clean and functional. I have had some issues though since I signed my lease in August of 2022. When first arriving, I had a number of spiders and then I had a mouse because of a hole in the wall from an old natural gas line that was left open behind the electric stove. When winter came, I had to have my heater fixed multiple times because it reeked of natural gas and I didn't want to be inhaling any exhaust fumes. As far as amenities, the fitness center is lacking a lot and while I understand the need to have community washing machines and dryers, charging 1.75 per machine per use is infuriating and they are small at best. The dryers are weak so I usually have to run them twice over to have dry clothes. Closing the laundry rooms in the evening makes it very inconvenient to get laundry done as a working professional and the weekends are a frenzy to try to get open washers and dryers amongst other residents who can only do their laundry on weekends as well. The parking authority is super schizo and they gave my father a 160 dollar ticket for parking in a spot he didn't know he could park in for a mere 15 minutes while we made dinner arrangements WHEN THERE WERE SEVERAL OTHER SPACES AVAILABLE! I understand not allowing vehicles without permits on the property for an extended period of time but don't boot them and let them sit there for weeks on end. Just tow them if it's been more than a few days. On top of this, the property is "allegedly" pet friendly and has a guest suite that residents can pay for stays for guests visiting in the town. When inquiring if my mother, who has 2 hypoallergenic dogs, could stay in the guest suite with the dogs, management didn't allow it nor would they let me pay for any pet deposit or fee to have the dogs stay in my unit for a mere week. In the meantime, they don't apply the same attitude towards the dozens of "outdoor" cats of other residents just roaming around the property 24/7 and the many GIANT raccoons scavenging through the dumpsters at night that could pose a physical danger to unsuspecting residents. I give 2 stars for the incredible maintenance team who work their butts off day in and day out to keep this place running. Only live here if you're a dead broke CU student needing to walk to campus. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I will not be resigning my lease."
"I lived here for 2-3 years when I was going to school at CU. The management team is AMAZING. They truly care about each of their residents. I personally would go to the office just to talk to them sometimes. The maintenance team is OUTSTANDING. They always had my stuff fixed that day or at the very latest the next day. I've lived in MANY apartment complexes and this one by far has had the best management & maintenance team. Sure the units could use some updating... but I'd gladly take good management over a fancy updated unit."
"Overall a nice, cheap, quiet place to live with pretty greenspaces outside most apartments. However, maintenance has been a pain, I've had problems with my heater for six months (exploding fire balls at one point, and the maintenance guy laughed at me until I got it on video)...finally after the 5th maintenance call, it's been fixed. Also the laundry machines are chronically broken, maintenance rags keep clogging pipes. Tried to get a two bedroom for a year but never could so if you need a two bedroom (no waitlist or anything), start with that don't plan to get one later."
