"Easy to navigate. The people are helpful. Runs like it should most of the time."
"Went to pick a container from these folks. Driver is UIIA and TWIC certified, all good to go. Driver arrived 10 AM, was told couldn't pull info from UIIA. Driver confirmed info was correct with UIIA by 11. Checked back in, showed the UIIA info, insurance, and that everything was up to snuff. Turned away again around 12 and told that the info still wasn't pulling up. Spoke with 4 separate reps at UP and did several other tasks that wasted time. Finally, got one rep that realized what was going on, and informed us that we need to reach out to UIIA to send additional info to UP for them to enter it into their system. It took 5 hours of the drivers time just to figure out this information because the other reps did not know this. On top of that, the paperwork that we have to complete, and the time it will take to process means that we will be unable to make pick-up, and will likely get hit with $100 storage fee. I have a hard time telling if this is intentional or not, but I will refuse any loads in the future originating with UP considering they don't even know their own requirements."
"Absolutely terrible place. Employees are terrible, yard upkeep is terrible. The employees attitudes are terrible. It's a classic union where everyone goes slower then slow or isn't working at all. They forget that the drivers/ companies in and out are the paying customers and they have terrible customer service. Their equipment is terrible too, and if you can't get a pin to unlock when dropping a trailer they expect you to have a hammer and to beat on THEIR equipment to "figure it out" or they'll just ban you from the yard. I have to come here regularly, and I absolutely hate it. Terrible."
"Worst place to pick up containers . Employees feel untouchable and dont care . Chasis are in bad shape most of the time . They leave containers too low or too high so we can struggle . They all need to get fired"
"This place is an absolute nightmare. You can expect to have issues at least 95 percent of the time. Shipping containers are too close to each other or the chassis is too low or it's too high. You always have an issue when you go there."
