Reviews of New World Van Lines
"Don’t trust them, they will lie to you to get out of fixing their mistakes. They improperly moved my bed and caused catastrophic damage to the mechanical components to my frame. They denied my original claim saying I was responsible for the damage their team did because it was my discretion for them to move my furniture. I’m sorry but what? The movers are t responsible for moving my furniture ? It was their unpacking team that asked me if I was happy with the location of my bed and then they moved it when I said no. Needless to say I appealed their decision and I was promised I would get a responded soon. Several weeks later and no response. I had to email them multiple times before getting a response saying I will have a decision by weeks end. Two weeks later they deny my appeal saying that the team never moved my bed. The problem with moving companies is that you can only make one claim. I waited several weeks to make my claim because I had to make sure everything was in working order or not damaged. But I did email them right after the incident to let them know. But instead they claim they talked to the team after several months and they remembered my home specifically to say they didn’t move my bed. It just feels like they dropped the ball when I appealed the decision and rushed to cover themselves when I reached out asking what was the cause of the delay. They straight up lied about their involvement and really are accusing me of lying. And when I asked for someone to call me to discuss the situation they are silent. No response. The only reason we used their services was because my wife’s company contracted them or else we would never use them."
"Terrible. Broke thousands of dollars worth of furniture, stole tools, threw MY broken items away **by force** to get out of paying for them. Lied on forms, failed to do their own jobs. Had the audacity to call and harass me to "soften my language" to my move coordinator. Family heirlooms were crushed, they somehow managed to cave in the top of my dryer, an oak table was snapped in half. Sturdy bookcase screws were bent into L shapes. Never trust these people with your things - or your phone number!"
"These folks are not particularly helpful or customer-service oriented. I tried to schedule an estimate and had to play phone tag with a bunch of different folks over several days. With other companies, I can just schedule an estimate online."
"They are very difficult to schedule - to the extent that it delayed the listing of our house. The movers are contracted, so they are especially rude and untrustworthy. They didn't handle anything with care, including a computer equipment and a VR headset, which when asked to be carefully they responded with, "What is it? Like a hundred dollars?" (It's not, and it doesn't matter if it was.) We had set some books etc. in boxes, so that we could sort the house and donate some bookshelves, and they refused to enter the house until professional cleaners were hired (until this was escalated.) And all of this was after they did an entire house inspection, and told us that we had properly prepared for the movers. Google review (do to only a couple reviews) are so-so, but they are terribly low on Yelp (2.5 stars) and mymovingreviews (1 star) and for good reason. This is a corporate move, and we will certainly request they they never be used again."
"I worked here as a helper for about a year and had great travel experiences. They promote from within and have pretty good benefits. The cool thing is you don't have to worry about having a boss micromanage you."
