"I am almost at a loss for words in attempting to explain our poor experience with Couse & Assoc. We submitted all our tax paperwork well in advance of filing day - then nothing. Nothing at all. I emailed and called literally dozens of times and all my attempts at communication were were ignored. Someone finally answered the phone ON tax day and told me they were filing an extension and do I have their permission. What? At that point I literally had no choice so I agreed. In hindsight I should have picked up all our paperwork well before this and hired a different CPA. After the extension was filed I still could not get any response on when our taxes would actually be filed. On the rare occasions that an employee answered the phone the only information I could get was "we're working as fast as we can". I could never get Michelle Couse on the phone and she would not return my calls or emails. Finally in mid June we finally received our tax return and we owed several thousand dollars. Which is odd since we have always gotten a return and our situation had not changed. I made two phone appointments with Michelle Couse through her admin assistant to ask why there was such a difference this year compared to last year and both of my appointments were ignored and she never got on the phone. I left more voice mails and emails and I never heard back from her. Not only will I never hire Couse & Assoc. again but I will have to pay our new CPA to review the return Couse filed for us. I have no confidence it was done correctly. Mind numbing frustration, unprofessional and incompetent. One star is being very generous."

"Michelle is a very nice person, and I so wanted this business relationship to work, however she basically did nothing for us over the course of a year due to severe procrastination. If we didn't pull our taxes at the last minute and give them to somebody else, I'm not confident we would have met the October deadline for filing after an extension. I know someone else with very similar experiences as mine as well."
