"Gary was great, until all of a sudden he told me I needed to find a new accountant. It seems as if Gary likes the easy clients complex tax clients. There was a question of international tax that came up, which didn’t require him to be an expert in international tax, and at that point he decided he would no longer be my accountant. The guy should retire already."

"Do yourself a favor and don’t use this person for anything financial. One of the worst and most unprofessional people to work with. If you are a new client looking at his reviews to decide if you should work with him, it would be in your best interest not to. I would be surprised if he is in business for much longer."

"From what I could tell, Gary did a great job on my personal taxes. Unfortunately with my business taxes I can't say the same. My business taxes were filed completely incorrectly and submitted to the wrong state. Gary had no interest in fixing the problem as I brought it up over the course of 3 months, starting in March when I was first informed by a state that taxes weren't filed. Gary just wanted to point fingers at everybody else, and wanted me to clean up the mess he made. Too bad I have no clue what I'm doing, and went specifically to a professional in order to handle it all for me. After ignored emails and phone calls, I called again and was able to speak to Gary. He gave me the same spiel he had told me the last several times we spoke, which was basically for me to do the work myself. Then Gary Bayer hung up on me when I explained to him that I was relying on him to do the work (as I have no clue how to do it, and that's why I was paying a professional) and that he had put me in the position that I'm in. This old man may be just a little bit senile. You should probably look for a different accountant if you're considering him."

"I have been seeing Gary for over 25 years and there are many reasons I keep coming back. He is thoughtful, a good listener, stays updated on the latest changes, is honest, answers all your questions, is patient and respectful. I recommend him whenever someone is looking for an accountant!"

"I have never in my life encountered someone so embarrassingly poor at not only their job but customer service. Not to mention, misogynistic. I do the finances in our house, not my husband, yet Mr. Bayer consistently called my husband to ask him questions regarding our taxes, to which my husband responded, "you'll have to talk to my wife about that." Still he continued to call my husband. Moreover, he accused us of withholding information from him that we'd already provided. Finally, the icing on the cake was when we switched back to our regular accountant the this year and she noticed he'd made an error on last year's tax returns. When I called to ask about him doing an amendment, he said "you have a new accountant so have them do it. Goodbye." He hung up on me! Obviously, I'm beyond furious. Do not utilize his services. Ever."
