"If I had the option I would give a zero star to this business. I hired Cole with TaxWorks to take a close look at my financial situation and advise me on the options I had to move forward. I made Cole aware of the urgency of my situation (given that I had flown into CO from another state and that time was of the essence in resolving my situation) when I met with him in person for 3 hours on a Saturday morning. Although I didn’t think the 3 hour meeting was very efficient or productive I still trusted him as a professional CPA that he would get the answers he needed from his lender and get back with me in a timely manner. I spoke with Cole on the phone the following Monday, at which time he told me he would send me an email with a spreadsheet detailing all my options in simple understandable terms for me to follow and be able to make an educated decision on how to move forward. He also said that the spreadsheet would carefully explain all the numerical entries such as dollar amounts and percentage rates. According to Cole this email would be in my mailbox by the following Tuesday at 12 noon. It is currently past 12 noon on Friday and that email never arrived nor have I received any phone call from him. I had called Cole’s office several times between Tuesday and Friday to inquire about the promised email. After Wednesday of that same week, not even his employee secretary Mike would pick up the phone. I left at least two voicemails for Cole and at least one message for him with secretary Mike. I received no answers, no phone calls back. Finally on Friday, I.e. almost a week after our initial Saturday meeting, secretary Mike calls me back to tell me that my financial situation was too complicated for Cole and that he would refund me the half payment I had made at the time of our first meeting. There were no apologies for wasting almost an entire week of my limited time in CO. and no explanation of why Cole thought my situation was too complex for him to solve. It literally felt like I was thrown under the bus and that nobody cared. I was speechless. When I asked secretary Mike why Cole didn’t call me directly to explain what was going on, I received an irrelevant and condescending answer, something along the lines that Cole was out of the office and that I would receive a refund. Then Mike simply hung up on me. I wanted to share my experience with this CPA in Boulder in an effort to spare others of what happened to me. Cole was not only unresponsive and unprofessional (by wasting my time and not being transparent with me), but he also delivered zero quality work at a price of $175/hour which he refunded back to me on Friday. This experience is my very first experience with a CPA but so BAD I would likely never forget. Simply put, UNACCEPTABLE! I truly don’t know how Cole and his TaxWorks stay in business."

"Called with an issue I had with a W2 for my employee, spoke with someone who said he would call me back after I explained my situation. Turns out, it wasnt that important to him and he never called me back. It's unfortunate as they could have made lots of money from me."
