Reviews of Barakah Halal Market
"A wonderful, sparkling clean, friendly Halal meat and produce shop in Denver! Ammar is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The store is well-stocked with both staple items and treats (the pistachio halava is phenomenal -- it'll change your life). A good array of spices, some in bulk, as well as bulk grains and legumes, cheeses and fruit juices. They were cooking fresh lamb kabob when we were there this afternoon, and Ammar pointed out that he had just boxed some to-go. Although I don't eat meat, my friend does, and she just let me know how delicious it was -- her teen devoured it, which is rare, as they're a picky eater. Even as a vegetarian, I can tell it smelled great on the way inside. As you will read in other reviews here, the meat is exceptionally fresh, and carefully prepared. They're about to expand, to include a full so we'll definitely be back to see what they do. If you cook and eat Middle Eastern cuisine, this is a great place to get hard-to-find ingredients. Highly recommend! شكرًا لك، داود وأليسون"
"The halal, meat is perfect the workers are amazing they’re always smiling and looking forward to help the customers the price is amazing. Totally recommend."
"We got goat meat from this place, it’s very fresh and tender. As old reviews said they don’t sell goat meat, we were confused initially but there are new owners who sells fresh goat meat for very competitive price! Do check out, you can’t go wrong. We will definitely make this our goto place for meat."
"Great news all, this store reopened after a short close with a remodeled interior and new ownership. It has new shiny tiles and a new interior arrangement: the halal chicken and halal meat fridges make an L design, with the halal chicken fridge facing the exit/entrance and the large meat fridge next to the main checkout counter. The appearance gives it a larger and cleaner look. Barakah also carry spices, drinks, including milk, and some snack items. But the store’s specialty is the fresh halal meat, which the owner has to travel to Fort Collins to get and then chop. It’s definitely a place for your halal meat! Also, the owner is a friendly guy so go visit and buy yourself a steak! (FYI: Apparently after talking to this owner, he let me know his store is up for sale. The price is pretty sweet! Go visit him at his store and ask him)."
"Barakah Halal Market is a great find for your main halal products, especially for your halal meat! They carry all types of meat, except duh, no Italian sausage! One of the days I went In, they had fresh Venison and it was going fast. They also carry beef, chicken, and lamb. As for products, as I said before editing this review, it has most all of the mainstay products and some special items. These items stood out to me: fresh pita bread, olive oil, various Middle Eastern teas and coffees, various Zatar (dipping sage spice), including Palestinian and Syrian, basmati rice, honey, Marrow (the vegetable/mulghia) and baklava. The market is well-organized and clean. The prices seem typical for halal markets which have to import items from various places. If you want the softest of breads and Syrian olive oil, and fresh meat, head on over there. The owners/employees are friendly! So if you find this place, consider yourself lucky and patron it often!"
