"What a nightmare. I talked to Bree in September 2021 and it sounded like she would be great for helping out with filing my tax returns. We had a positive conversation and she talked about the different ways that we can look to save on tax, optimize expenses, etc. etc. I left that call and paid a $500 deposit for the 2021 tax year filing. Fast forward to the end of Feb 2022 and I hadn't heard a single thing from them. I reached out multiple times over email, on their portal, etc. with no response. By the end of March I had someone starting to respond to me. We had over a week of back and forth because they said they uploaded my 'checklist' into the portal which they hadn't done. On April 1st I finally had a checklist which was a dense 30+ page worksheet that was allegedly already past due. I sent over my docs, there was no consultation on "optimizing taxes", or literally anything. The turnaround took a while and we ended up having to file an extension as well because everything had taken so long. The return didn't get filed until May 16th. For this service, I received an additional $1000 invoice for filing the return. If I had gotten the support I had originally been promised, the fee would have been worth it. Instead, getting this charge at the end of this endeavor felt like an incredible bait and switch. To top it all off, I just got a letter from the IRS that there was still an underpayment and now I owe another couple hundred dollars and taxes and fees. Overall this was a shockingly negative experience. I recommend finding anyone else to use for your taxes."
