"I brought my 25 year old son into this office because we were confused about a few things. I saw if we did it with help on line it was $99 no matter how complicated. So stupidly figured it would be around that. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! We had an appointment and no one seemed to really want to work with him. Finally an older man begrudgingly called him back. He had 2 w2 forms and one form for some contracting work. . That is it. There was some questions about the 2 states he worked in. The preparer took 20 min and wanted to charge him over 400 for the LESS THAN 30 MINUTES and very little interaction. I told him our tax person has NEVER charged us that much with ours which is as complicated if not more. He then thought for a minute and said $320. The kid already had to pay close to $800 in taxes. They finally went down to $260. If we had ANY info that going in to the business would cost him 3 to 4 times more we never would have gone. The cost should have been stated beforehand. I thought Jackson Hewitt was reputable I was wrong."

The whole office was very understanding that I had to bring my 4 kids along. The refund advance has been helpful and I was given a quick decision. The cost & fees I ended up paying was reasonable.
