"I have gone to this location the past 4-5 years...The last 2 years, the experience has been negative...I can see that the person helping me is struggling to process my taxes, then my return was checked by another associate and errors were found...I expect to be audited by the IRS..."

"Dropped of Feb 12th and they didn't get complete until March 8th. Taxes were at a different location and city from where I dropped them OFF. My taxes should have taken only 20 mins to do, but 4-5 different people had to look at them and I was told I different amounts each time someone said they were done. Told I owed Fed $300 something, then told I get $400 something back, told again owed $300 something, then finally ended up owing $475. Nobody could agree or talk to each other to find out where certain amounts came from. $175 is ridiculous for taxes, stop upping the damn price."

"Sadly, I came into H&R Block with the understanding that the personnel were knowledgeable enough with the taxes. I phoned the office a day prior, asking about all the intricate details of my tax papers that needed to be navigated through, assured by the lady on the phone that "Barbara would be the most fitting "Senior Tax Analyst" to complete the forms accordingly". When I brought my forms in the following day, she had to ask a series of questions to other employees about my forms, they went on relaying the question to yet another employee in the building--all this left me befuddled of their solid background. Mistyping my last name, numbers from the W-2 forms, and my checking account number, with which to receive my potential return, I had to oversee every little detail that was being plodded into the computer database. The heater wouldn't work in the building, and that was all I was hearing every employee complaining about--not their fault I admit, but do your job without complaints. And to find at the end of this that the total bill for all this amounted to over $350?! I would highly suggest seeking out someone who can provide you a more solid return than these people have. Looking back at last years return compared to this year, I am losing out on an additional $500. On top of the bill that I had to pay for this "service", that marks a net loss of $850! Unfathomable."

We feel there's an outsize chance we'd try to do our own taxes next year. The one thing that keeps us coming back, aside from really liking the person who has done our taxes for a few years now, is the guarantee insurance, which costs about $40. We had one tax year where there was an error (with another H&R person, many years ago) and in the end we were not liable for the almost $2,000 we would've had to pay if we'd done it ourselves. H&R took care of everything."
