"Dishonest, will certainly help you make the right choice - for him. My wife and I employed the services of Dan Day many years ago, trying to get started with our financial planning. We were young kids, with our first newborn baby in a stroller in the office. We paid the office a substantial amount of money, for us at least, to review all our finances, do projections of our earnings and investments, etc. After all of this we were given the worst possible financial advice - he suggested that we sink a huge amount of our monthly income into a whole life insurance plan that would pay off big when we died... It gains value, but you can't access it unless you "borrow" your money back, with interest. Also, guess what happens if you have an unexpected loss of income and can't pay the premiums? You lose the policy, and all the value you've accumulated. Long story short, this was perhaps the worst possible advice, and was very clearly meant to benefit exactly one person: Dan Day. This experience has soured me with regards to the financial planning profession as a whole, and I'm only now, years later, willing to consider employing someone to help me with my finances. STAY AWAY!"
