"Quality and selection in tools have gone up over the years, and they are still able to maintain very low pricing with also a great product warranty you won't find at other stores. The Icon series tool boxes are in line with the same quality as Snap-On or MATCO"
"The two women working today were very helpful and friendly when I bought a steam cleaner. I was very impressed with their knowledge of the products and inventory and their excellent customer service. I’ve never shopped here before but will definitely be back!"
"Jen the manager here is very helpful and courteous. I love harbor freight prices too. Some items may not last long, but so far i am very happy with all the products."
"I was wronged by Harbor freight today. I went in to buy a strap to keep in my truck, to help pull people out of the snow. I have loved Harbor freight for many years and I always shop at this location. Today as I was checking out, I asked about exchanging an air compressor I had bought a year and a half ago. Lupe, the cashier lady, went on to tell me Yes! You can exchange it! I went to the air compressor section to look around, and found out that a good one for what I need is gonna cost $250, which is a little bit more than I can afford at the moment. So I ask Lupe what would be my out the door price with exchanging My air compressor for this one, she proceeded to tell me that it would be $60. Shocked by the price I said “that doesn’t add up”. “Are you serious” “How is it only $60? My air compressor was $59.99 and this one is 250. It doesn’t make sense.” She told me that they had an upgrade program and I would only pay for the two year warranty on the new air compressor. I told her three times “this sounds too good to be true” and her coworker also validated her statement. I asked what time do they close and told them that I can’t pass this up. I proceeded to drive 40 minutes home and 40 minutes back to exchange my air compressor for a new one when I arrived back at the store the story was not the same. After ringing up the new air compressor it was showing up at full price. She talked to a manager and came back and explained to me that she was told the wrong information. My blood is boiling at this point but I’m still trying to be nice so I say well what can you guys do? So she offers to give me my original $60 back in cash instead of store credit like it’s a gift or something. After a few minutes of just touching the screen because she was embarrassed I asked to speak to her manager I explain the situation, and the only thing the manager Devon (very rude by the way) had to say was, “sir there’s nothing we can do.” I’m trying to hold it together at this point as I’m extremely frustrated and just wasted two hours of my life and about $50 in fuel in my diesel truck. At this point I don’t want to make too big of a scene so I said I will take the cash refund. After standing around extremely disappointed for another five minutes, they say well there’s no way that we can give you cash, will give you a gift card and you can cash them out one by one since they only do $10 a piece. “It will be a while” the manager Devon said. I grabbed my air compressor and left. I feel so wronged. I understand it’s just an air compressor and just money but a good company like this should’ve bit the bullet on the air compressor and made it right by me. Employees make mistakes and unfortunately that’s a cost of running a business but not at harbor freight. I unfortunately will not be back and that very saddens me as it’s one of my favorite stores. Every single tool that my company needs we buy through them and easily spend $10,000 a year. We will now be driving to the south location. I understand being wrong. Customer service isn’t easy. But I asked three times are you sure you are correct? I am disappointed"
"HF seems to always have what I need for fixing things. Some products are great and others on the cheap side but normally good to use for a one-time project. I try to purchase tools that have a full replacement. It's amazing how many things they carry for a small store. I am a long time customer."
