"This place has gone downhill dramatically. Sent a family member there to get immediate help with high hopes of being admitted due to the seriousness of the situation and all they did was set an appointment for him to come back in weeks. What a joke. This place should Be ashamed for sending clients away rather than providing the help they need. This is how people fall into the cracks of mental help because when you want to get help and are willing to do so you have places like lighthouse sending you away with no resources or additional help. Shameful"
"This is the second time I will without my medicine I need and am being punished for missing an appointment because a close family friend overdosed and wasn't able to make it to my appointment and even though I let them know before hand now they won't help me get said medication. And this week my ex committed suicide and I Need the help more than ever and I feel as if they don't care if Im okay or not"
"Took a friend to the lighthouse. He was in crisis and really needed to talk to someone. I was extremely disappointed in the care he received. They did a lot of talking at him a lot of trying to drive points home or teach a lesson. Telling stories of angry soldiers with PTSD that would never let go of pain. He wouldn't let my friend get a word in edge wise. When he finished his long rant he ended it in the worst way possible he asked if my friend understood. To which my friend responded he did not and he had a disability that limited his understanding. The therapist replied, he worked with that disability all the time and that he had no excuse not to understand. What my friend and every human in existence have a right to during a crisis is crisis and PTSD certified therapist. One who has open conversations with them and allows them to release the pain. where there is care and understanding of what they are going through. A safe place. I would love to have a true conversation with this man again. While I am upset, i will recover. Now there is only more pain and distrust. Our health care system has failed. And I have never felt as hopeless as I did that night."
