"Cute mom & pop "old feels" kind of place. Food was hit and miss. Hand pressed burgers were just okay, left me desiring more flavor or something. The bacon and French toast were good and good fries! The servers seemed to be steady but not overly friendly. Not personable or really check in on anything. The ticket was just slapped down in front of us without explanation of where to pay or how. Perhaps they just had a bad day. But enough of an attitude that the working guys sitting next to us also were making comments about the cold/short service."
"Really good dinner. Good service, friendly staff! Really love the Whole Dang Farm burger, I have that everytime I stop in! I have never had a bad experience and all of the food seems well prepared and fresh here. The only thing to note is they are not open on Mondays!"
"I had a quick breakfast here after a night in a nearby hotel, hoping I could get some coffee and food in me before a long day on the road. It’s clear the locals love this place — it was hopping soon after opening at 7:00. My server greeted me and immediately brought me coffee. I saw the great big sweet rolls as I was walking to my booth, so I got one of the cinnamon ones. (The other option was caramel, I think.) It was really good; the only thing that would have made it better is if it had been warmer. I was in and out in about 25 minutes, and that was perfect."
"We had 2 meals at the Country Rose Cafe. First: the staff is amazing. We opted to sit at the counter and received outstanding service. Our orders were taken swiftly and food delivered hot. Second: the food is excellent. I had never heard of knoephla soup and it is now my favorite. Our lunch was a simple cheeseburger (discounted on the seniors menu) and salad. We opted to take a caramel cinnamon roll to go - huge, gooey, yummy goodness. Do not pass on the roll. Breakfast was equally good. If you eat meat, be sure to try the local sausage."
"Definitely as good as it gets, have never had better!! It's the hash browns, cooked with so much love and butter I've been craving them ever since we left! So good in fact that we ate there two mornings in a row as we passed through! Wish we could have stayed longer to try some other menu items but those hash browns and chicken fried steak took all my attention!! First off, they are busy!! The tables and counter are usually full with a couple few folks waiting. I'm sure they get even busier but both time we were there, they were full to the rim! Service is excellent, rushed because they're so busy but still very attentive and kind. Our food came out hot and fresh, no sitting in windows at this cafe, they get the food out as soon as it's done! Looks like a giant family affair with grandma cooking the soups and desserts and everyone else gathered around! The soups are absolutely delicious, I had to get some to go it was that good! And while you're there, grab a cinnamon or caramel roll, you'll be glad you did!!"
