"We stayed in a kitchenette suite while my husband was interviewing for a job. It was very nice. The staff were attentive, yet unobtrusive. The room and the building in general were impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets soft. We also ate in the restaurant and enjoyed it a great deal."
"I have been staying at this location an average of 6 nights a month for the last 3 years. At first impression, the hotel is upscale compared to regional options. Rooms are spacious, and kitchenette rooms are available. The lounge is extremely comfortable and offered great food in the beginning. I had no complaints the first year staying there. Since then, I have noticed a steady decline in service and cleanliness coupled with a steady increase in cost. I have traveled for work for the last 10 years and stayed in countless hotels. Traveling like that, you learn to roll with many minor imperfections or subtle changes in services from trip to trip. At this location, I have seen high staff turnover, multiple managers and an overall lack of interest in maintaining the facility. I have had numerous stays where the room given to me at check in was not cleaned after the last occupant. I have checked into my room on more than one occasion to discover hundreds of dead and halfdead flies littering the carpet and HVAC unit. During the last visit, my first room was missing both TVs, it had the fly problem, shower was molding and uncleaned and the toilet was disabled and half tore apart. The following room i was moved into was only marginally cleaner, at least the flies were swept up and the mice that left droppings in the cupboard must have previously checked out as I did not see it. On the second evening at around 8 pm I was called at work and informed that I would need to remove my belongings from the room as soon as possible and that they would be relocating me to an affiliated hotel across the parking lot. I was told the problem was with hot water. When I entered the building to retrieve my clothes and check out, I was immediately hit by a strong heating gas smell that carried through the lobby and all the way up to the third floor. Now the urgency of the phone call made more sense. That same smell was present in a room on the first floor 3 weeks prior. I can’t be certain what the issue was exactly but I highly doubt it was simply no hot water for showers as I was originally told. Since it was my last night and I was being relocated across the parking lot, I simply asked to check out and be refunded the cost of the room and that I would drive to my next location. The staff was unwilling to refund me indicating that they were not kicking me out since they had reserved a room for me in the other hotel. After some tense back and forth conversation, they did offer to give me $50 off. Mind you, the rooms at the other hotel are not comparable to the kitchenette room I was paying for and there was no mention of discount until I started the conversation. This whole situation, coupled with the decline in room cleanliness, has left me with no desire to set foot in this location again. I have no illusions that the hotel will even notice the income loss as they are generally fully booked by oil companies. I only write this as a cautionary tale for other travelers. Looks are deceiving at this place and your more likely to get a bug bite than a good night’s sleep or warm meal that you pay for."
"found LIVE bedbugs and when i went down to the desk to let them know they made it clear that were already well aware of this and didn’t offer a refund, simply asked if i’d like the room next door. ABSOLUTELY NOT?? purely disgusting, mold in the showers also. do not stay here whatever you do!!!!"
"Absolutely disgusting. They have bed bugs, which they're well aware of because when they were let know they simply said "man they're always on the 4th floor" so if you're well aware, yet fail to mention it- that is absolutely vile of you!! There is also mold in the showers. Despite all this, no refund was offered, simply was asked if I'd like to move to the room next door. Absolutely not?? Horrible Horrible Horrible."
"Check reviews before booking. Front desk aint personable or welcoming. So we’re In town for a tournament. Upon check in, noticed a sign saying they don’t offer any type of breakfast (not even in restaurant downstairs either) but for some small fee you can go to the competitions place located right next door to and get some food. We got to our room, tv was left on, bathroom light was on. We got scared someone was already checked in. The mirror was dirty and we didn’t have any towels. After walking back down to the front desk, my key didn’t work to get back into my room. Definitely aint spending money here again."
