"They performed my husband's surgery perfect fine, but beware of this places billing department! We made payment arrangements for our bill, made our first payment on time, and they have still sent us to collections!! The "customer service" call center that we're trying to deal with is completely unhelpful, and obviously nowhere near Colorado. This is ridiculous!"
"Unfortunately, I have the same problem as a lot of folks and had to pay over $4000 at the time of surgery. My deductible is only $4000 for in network I wasn’t able to think about it. I was more concerned with getting my surgery and becoming healthy and Focused on my nerves. This is so terrible. I overpaid by almost $3000. I wonder if I will ever get it back. The surgeon and the people around me were amazing but the administrative folks do not know what they’re doing"
"Do not choose this hospital for surgery. We had the same problem as a previous reviewer. We have a no deductible health plan. My husband showed up the morning of his surgery and they demanded $1200 or no surgery for him. We told them it was wrong that the estimating team had screwed up. But, that didn’t stop them from threatening my husband that he wasn’t going to get a surgery and he was holding up the line if he didn’t just pay it and move on because calling billing at this time would take way too long. So we paid it, and after the surgery spoke to billing and estimates to sort things out. This could have been avoided had the billing team not waited until less than 24 hours to email the billing information and not lied about leaving a message on my husband‘s phone. (We’ve checked the call records from our cell phone provider and they did no such thing). This hospital and billing department has extremely poor administrative practices and the lack of integrity displayed by employees is extremely concerning. We will not be scheduling any surgeries here again. Which is a shame, because the nurses and the surgeon were excellent."
"I had surgery with Dr. Dickey and not only him but Ashley and the whole team was so amazing! Especially Ashley. So attentive and we did not go without. Even though I was the patient they treated my family amazing too."
"Unhappy with billing practices. I would give no stars if I could. First they told me I would have to pay over $5000 at the time of surgery. When I told them that wasn’t correct, the women on the phone got upset and assured me that it was. After some back and forth, she said she was wrong and I would owe a little over $500, which was the correct amount. I paid at the time of service. They didn’t submit my claim right away causing other claims such as anesthesia and the providers portion to be processed first. I have received bills from those groups, allowing patient responsible (out of pocket & deductible) to be met. It’s been almost 3 months and Crown point surgery center refuses to give me a refund because they believe the insurance owes them more money. The insurance company has stated the claim is settled and patient responsibility is $0. Crown Point Surgery Center disagrees. My concern is Crown Point is going to balance bill me for portions not covered by the insurance company and keep the amount I paid at time of service. My issue is that they didn’t submit the claim timely which mean, I don’t own the $588, I paid as that amount is now owed to other providers. is it fair for the patient to pay portions the insurance company didn’t cover? How do I know they are billing fairly? Why hold the patient’s refund when the issue is between the surgery center and the insurance company? I won’t ever have a surgery there again, nor will I recommend this place to other based on their billing practices, and the lack of help from their billing department."
