Reviews of Mile High Neurology Services
"If the option for a negative star rating were possible, Dr. Pham would qualify for such a dismal score. Unfortunately, I am a “frequent flyer” when it comes to my health with multiple neuro-related diagnoses. I am no stranger to dealing with situations involving hospitalizations, ER visits, and frequent neurology appointments. My first introduction to Dr. Pham was a few years ago after my first massive seizure. I remember walking out of his office, looking at my mother-in-law, and we both agreed that he was cold, arrogant, uncaring, etc. He treated me like I was wasting his time (and believe me, I know & appreciate how busy doctors/nurses/hospitals can get). However, Dr. Pham lacks any bedside manner or empathy. Thank God I found Dr. Fortin with Neurology of the Rockies. He has been a lifesaver! Unfortunately, my neuro practice will occasionally use Dr. Pham as one of their on-call physicians. Last night (May 9, 2022) was an unlucky night for me as I was experiencing stronger and new neuro symptoms, and Dr. Pham was on-call. I was given his personal # from the after hours service to call him directly. I called 3 times, and there was no answer or voicemail. I went back through the call service, and they FINALLY got me a call back 1.5+ hours later. The expectation for a call back is 30 minutes. During our conversation it became very apparent to me that he was not paying attention, and acted like I was wasting his time. I develop a bad stutter with a rapid increase of my neuro/seizure symptoms. I apologized, and explained how my stutter affects me at the beginning of the call, so that he would understand why it was taking me longer to speak. First of all, no patient should ever have to apologize for a medical condition, however he made me feel so insecure about it that I felt as if I was in the wrong somehow. He kept interrupting me throughout the call. After I finished explaining the list of new symptoms, his condescending response was, “So you’re calling me because you stutter?” It became apparent to me at that point that he was, in no way, listening to what was happening, and that he did not care. He didn’t ask me any follow up questions, or voice any concerns. I completely lost faith in anything Dr. Pham said, and I did not feel comfortable with him overseeing my care last night. Finally, the notes he left for my doctor to followup on were completely inaccurate as to what I was experiencing last night. DO NOT use Dr. Pham. There are other brilliant neurologists in the Parker & Castle Rock area that actually care about the well-being of their patients. Even if there is a waiting list for another office, it is worth it. Patients deserve much better care than anything they would receive from Dr. Pham."
"I was recently referred to this Doctor due to my mother having some short term memory issues. When we arrived at the office it was dark and the door was locked. We had a 1:00 appointment and they did not come back from lunch until 1:15. Once they opened the door we sat there for another 10-15 minutes. The woman at the front desk handed me 2 very unofficial forms to fill out, only asking for my mothers name and date of birth. These forms were poorly printed and very unclear. The woman asked me "what is your copay?" I told her I believed it was $50 for a specialist visit. She then took my credit card to another room and tried to run it. She then proceeded to have me come in the room asking if I knew how to work the machine? I told her no. I was very confused! As a "professional medical office", I assume they would know how to take payment and work their credit card machine. She proceeded to call someone on her cell phone, yelling at them in another language about the credit card machine while I just stood there confused. Initially when we walked into office there was a huge sign (that looked like a 3rd grader made) stating that they do eyelash extensions and microblading on eyebrows???? I'm sorry is this a day spa/salon or a Neurology Medical office? After that fiasco the doctor came and took my mother and myself back to a dirty, unorganized office. He did not introduce himself and was very abrasive jumping right into asking my mother a bunch of memory questions making her very nervous and uneasy. He had zero bed side manner and was very cold, nonchalant and unprofessional. Throughout the consultation he kept answering his cell phone and talking on the phone while we just sat there, this happened about 3 different times. He did not express any care or consideration for our time. He did a short physical exam then said "ok you done!" I walked my mom to the front and had her take a seat. He proceeded to give me a diagnosis that she has Alzheimer's and there's nothing we can do..... with no diagnostic or image testing. I even asked him about diagnostic testing and he said "I guess we can do a MRI" and sent us on our way. After the appointment I was furious at the care we had just received. 1 hour later the woman at the front desk started calling my cell telling me I need to come back and fill out New Patient forms which she never gave to me when we initially checked in. This woman does not speak English very well and is very confusing. This was the most awkward, unprofessional and disgusting doctor appointment I have ever experienced! DO NOT GO TO MILE HIGH NEUROLOGY!!! You will be highly disappointed unless you're looking for eyelash extensions and an unprofessional experience!"
"I was reffer to see Dr. Phan by my primary care physician after a concussion due to severe headaches, Neck pain and balance issues. From the start he was very polite, engaging and ask avout my particular symptoms and treatment in place. He did some testings and managed to find the correct treatment for my particular situation. It was the 1st time in a yr. I was able to walk confident and without pain from a drs. office. Follow up apts. same way and very accomadating to my schedule changes as well."
"My doctor sent me to this doctor to help me with my chronic neck pain and headaches that I have. I live 2 and half hours a way from parker. We were on are way to parker when two bad car accidents happened. I called both times saying traffic is piling up because of the car accident and we are trying to get there as soon as possible. I was late due to the accidents on the highway that caused the delay which I called a head a time and explained what was going on. I got there filled out the paper work and seen doctor phan. And he said, " your late! I am not going to have no time with you!!" So rudely. He spent 2 to 4 minutes with me just doing the normal check up stuff like check my balance, my eyes, blood pressure, and my knee reflexes that's it. He said I cant help me with my headaches, migraines, and neck pain that I am going through. And prescribed me some medication that is only making me feel worse. Making me feel tired all the time, eye pressure now and head pressure."
"I do not recommend this doctor to anyone as I had a really bad experience. Do NOT go here. The doctor did not even introduce himself to me upon first meeting and then it just went downhill from there. After sitting before him for less than 2 minutes he asked why I was there (after going over name, height, weight, etc.). I told him that I had been dropping things lately and was concerned that I was loosing my grip. I had shattered plates and glasses and that wasn't normal for me. His response? "Sounds to me like you're just clumsy." And he was completely serious. I explained the situation further, he shrugged and then asked if I had any other symptoms. I started to tell him, stating that I'd had some tests done but that my doctor hadn't found a cause yet, but he then interrupted me and stated, "You're just stressed. If your primary doctor hasn't found a cause yet, it's stress. All in your mind." I tried to continue to talk to him, explaining that I did have some things diagnosed, but he cut me off again and so I gave up. Yes, after a total of 5 minutes, I knew that this doctor was a dud and would not be any help to me at all. I was fuming but let him do a carpal tunnel test on me just in case that was the problem. After the test, the doctor put up his equipment, glanced over at me and said that I don't have carpal tunnel and then promptly left the room and disappeared down the hall. The end. No goodbye. No further talking about what could be causing my weakness in grip. Just pure rudeness to go along with his horrible bedside manner. Really - do NOT waste your time with this doctor. In my experience he has no business working with people, treating people, talking to people..."
