The Meadows Family EyeCare

"Since moving to the area, we’ve been using Meadows Family Eye Care and have generally been happy. After my wife and I’s last visit, however, we will not be returning. During our most recent visit, we were both advised we had some potential concerns after reviewing the images taken. Both of us were referred to a specialist for further examination. I called and set up an appointment with their referred retina doctor across the street upon leaving as I wanted to get it scheduled once I returned from an upcoming vacation. A few moments later, I was contacted by the specialist and they thought it was best to get me in before I left on vacation based on the images shared with their office, which was a bit alarming. I checked with my insurance company and learned the specialist was out of network so I asked our eye doctor for a different referral. The doctor I spoke with indicated they didn’t have anyone else they knew and after several minutes, Colorado Retina was mentioned. Given the urgency from the original referral, I asked to get in immediately. After an extremely thorough exam, the retinal doctor saw nothing wrong and said I was fine. My wife also decided to schedule an appointment with Colorado Retina and they also saw nothing wrong with her eyes. In fact, said her eyes were the best eyes they’ve seen! We won’t be returning to Meadows Family Eye Care as a result. And looking back at our prior exams, they had suggested other procedures we should consider. We never did and based on our most recent experience, we’re guessing they were only trying to upsell a procedure that wasn’t even necessary."

"Made appointment online. They called and said I needed to confirm. I called and confirmed over the phone hours before as they instructed. They replied “great, I’ll see you in a couple hours”. Showed up for scheduled appointment and they said I didn’t confirm and cancelled my appointment. Unreal customer service with proof I confirmed. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. They’re incapable of figuring things out here."

"Be wary of this one. They sneak in charges and they lose records. I've had it happen to me and a couple friends. At sign in, the receptionist talks fast and tries to sneak in other costly tests when you're least aware. I had to stop them once I found out in the exam room. My glasses that I purchased there, needed a different prescription. The lady accused me of lying and said they had no record of me getting them there, yet I had the receipt to prove it. They then tried to charge me for a contact lense fitting when I didn't have one and wasn't ordering any. When I asked for my records, they used the excuse that they have a new system and those records are lost. They aren't able to give me my records. For one, that's against the law. I made them remove the contact lense fitting fee, (watch out for that one), and the exam tests they tried to sneak in that I didn't allow them to perform. I ordered my lenses for my glasses, collected them and never went back. Be careful letting your teens go in there without keeping an eye out. They are very slick. My advice would be patient beware."

"100% recommend Dr. Ryan and his entire staff! I had massive cataracts and he made an excellent referral to Mile High Eye for surgery, then provided fabulous aftercare. The office staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Great experience!"
