Reviews of Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center Denver - 5th Ave.
"Please do not go to any pathlight facilities if you are seeking help. I begged to leave the entire time and when they finally listened a month later, i was told that i was too stubborn for them. I left that facility with more trauma and massive scars. I made a friend in pathlight and they have now lost their life. They begged for help and many people reported to staff that they needed help and they did not receive that help. I will never recover from the awful things i’ve experienced there."
"My daughter spent 5 weeks in residential followed by 2 weeks in PHP. Her main counselor was absolutely amazing. She supported her and helped teach my family how to interact and respond in a more healthy way. My daughter felt safe, cared for and heard during her treatment at the anxiety center. We are very greatful to the whole staff for helping our daughter learn how to cope with issues. *Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center Denver"
"Admissions was not well educated on their own services and policies. I declined admission after they realized their errors. When I asked I was informed they keep records on file w/o a deletion date. Waiting to hear from a "supervisor" now about their liability issues. Admit people were very kind, under-trained in program logistics, but very caring."
"My 14yr old child was accepted and admitted into the program in early 2023 after being at a different facility in Michigan. We wanted to choose a place that had trauma related therapy as to give them a better sense of their past and create self awareness. The admission process was rocky. Between not receiving phone calls and paperwork from admissions and being slated for an eating disorder center I almost pulled out from the very beginning. I should have. The staff at PBH is very friendly but only tell you what you want to hear. Clinical teams have a hard time connecting with clients and give them reams of self journaling rather than actual one on one therapy. There is little to no medical supervision either. I felt as if this was starting to become a “money ring” as my child was expressing that he was not doing anything while there. They played video games and painted more than therapy. clients are being unsupervised allowing them to cut themselves and have pow-wow bully groups. The last straw for us was when he was sent to a psychiatric ER because he had an argument with a nurse. The center was less than forthcoming about the incident stating “he violated boundaries”. Denver Health Systems questioned the center from the beginning as my child was not in distress when being sent there. The hospital could not understand how a “mental health facility” (as they claim) would transfer a child instead of using their tools to help him. Right then I knew that PBH was not a mental health facility and never was. Trauma recovery is hard at any age but now my child has trauma left from a horrible experience at PBH Denver. On a positive note: I did appreciate how the center gave parents the opportunity for emotion coaching via video chat. My child said the food was great as well."
"We recently had our daughter in 4 weeks of residential and 6 weeks of the PHP program at Pathlight Mood and Anxiety. The entire staff at Pathlight was amazing and caring! Our daughter had a hard time at first but the change at the end of program was amazing. We would definitely recommend Pathlight!"
