Reviews of Intermountain Health Denver Midtown Clinic – Certified Nurse Midwives
"This place is the absolute worst The front desk receptionist is rude as hell I was asking for a check up and she told me if the doctor sees fit they will I don’t care if I’m going daily to get checked if I’m asking they need to do their jobs Second their prenatal care is horrible they never gave e prenatal vitamins I am very well in my second trimester they had me do a 3 hour glucose test that made me extremely ill and sick just got the phlebotomist to draw my blood at the wrong time so I called to reschedule my appointment and of course the front desk receptionists ended up hanging up on me Just go somewhere else you’ll wanna fight someone here for their rudeness and negligence denser health is 1000% better"
"I caught the staff performing a HIPAA violation and reported them to the appropriate government agency. In retaliation, the office team transferred me out of their care 34 weeks pregnant with no hospital or pain management planning in place. Pick a different team, this one is no good. Another issue I had was over the course of my pregnancy, there was no communication between nurse midwives. Update: This is my anti-recommendation post. I hate doing this, and if you check my post history, you'll see I don't make a habit of it. And yet here I am, because this anti recommendation may save someone's life. The office this midwife works out of performed a HIPPA violation, and when I reported them after a lack of acknowledgement, accountability, or apology, this midwife decided "since I couldn't trust them anymore" she wouldn't help me with the last month of my pregnancy. She did not perform any medical checks on me, and the office has STILL not provided me with the medical records I requested 1/17. Additionally: there was a HUGE medical miss that almost killed me and the baby. We had to spend 5 days in the hospital above and beyond labor and delivery because this midwife could not be bothered to do her job. Run!!! From this office. Don't walk."
"Mary Elizabeth Lentz took over my birth, disrespected my wishes in every aspect, disrespected my husband and doula who were trying to help me achieve a peaceful VBAC. She used fear tactics and bullied me to have the birth she preferred. She has traumatized me. Jodi was my midwife when I presented at the hospital. I labored under her care peacefully with no pressure of intervention. An hour later (shift change had occurred in this time frame) Mary came into my room as a force that wanted to be in control of my story. She immediately started demanding intervention and got into an argument with my husband and doula in the hallway while they tried to explain to her that I was a sexual abuse survivor and preferred she bring talk of internal evaluations to them so they could discuss with me (a fact she would have known if she read my birth plan- she literally scoffed and my plan and they had to fill her in verbally). she literally brought forceps into my room and stated that ‘this was the only way I was having a vaginal birth.’ As you can imagine, my body did not feel safe with this woman putting her hands inside of me and bullying me into intervention. This woman has inflicted serious trauma on me and my family. Trauma that will take years of therapy to heal. She cares only for her own power and safety and has no care for her patients. The language she used with me in the room as well as on her surgical notes was demeaning and debasing. This practice has not even contacted me after major abdominal surgery to see if I am well or to schedule a follow up visit. I am 5 months PP. If I could recommend this place based solely on the experience I had with Jodi it would be a different story. But because you cannot choose the midwife who delivers your baby (you get whomever is on shift) I cannot recommend it. In fact I would say avoid it at all costs if you wish to have a physiological birth."
"Noelle Logan delivered my baby and I really felt safe in my labor and delivery experience. She was so kind, attentive and I felt so comfortable with her. At one point I was not pushing correctly and she coached me through it. My son came out so fast after she gave me pointers and helped me. While I did not see them for pre or postpartum care I have heard many great things from other moms about delivering at Saint Joseph’s and definitely recommend them. Thank you for such a positive birth experience!"
"I LOVE this practice. Every midwife I have seen has been incredibly kind, compassionate and thorough. They care about you as a person. I have never felt so NOT rushed when visiting a medical practice. I have had the midwives spend 30 minutes with me answering questions. They have all asked about my mental health and well-being. They simply care about you personally. I am so grateful I get to deliver with them and don't regret using them for a minute"
