"I’ve unfortunately been to this urgent care too many times and I am surprised at how low the rating is. I’ve always had exceptional service even with long wait which is sometimes inevitable. The physicians here caught my hydronephrosis in time and probably saved my kidney. I was also examined here post car accident and although they didn’t find any serious injuries I was treated very utmost care. Great staff, caring and empathetic!"
"If I could give zero stars I would. A 3 hour visit yesterday with a doctor who simply didnt care. JAMMED the otoscope in my ear twice and didn't care that I was in pain. Came in with a scratch pad and really didn't listen to what I was telling her. Recommended the same medication I had told her I was already on after 3 hours of sitting in an exam room alone. Recommended bloodwork (which I just had through Kaiser and that they had access to) and an EKG - ridiculous tests that were NOT part of the issue I was in for. $100 for absolutely nothing. Total ripoff. Had to schedule with a doctor THE SAME DAY at my regular office to get some compassion and someone to listen to what was wrong. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!"
"I am writing to express my deep frustration and concern regarding the lengthy wait times at our Kaiser local urgent care facilities. Despite Kaiser reporting significant operating revenues, the reality for patients seeking urgent medical attention is quite different. In the second quarter of 2023, Kaiser reported an astonishing $25.2 billion in operating revenues. While this is undoubtedly a testament to the healthcare industry's financial success, it is disheartening to experience the stark contrast in service when in need of immediate medical assistance. As a responsible health insurance holder, I pay my monthly premiums with the expectation of timely access to medical care. However, I have witnessed countless instances where My family and I have been turned away or subjected to excruciatingly long wait times at urgent care facilities. This not only undermines the purpose of health insurance but also poses serious risks to patients' well-being. I implore you to consider the plight of individuals like me who rely on these services. We need a healthcare system that not only thrives financially but also prioritizes the well-being and timely treatment of its members. I urge you to take action to address this issue promptly, ensuring that our healthcare system aligns with the principles of accessibility, efficiency, and patient-centric care"
"I visited urgent care today as I was having a systemic reaction to allergy shots I had gotten about an hour before. I was always told to go to urgent care if I had any reaction symptoms after I left the allergy office on the 3rd floor or an ER is it was after hours.. It was about an hour after my shots when I started experiencing symptoms. I debating on whether to go to the hospital ER or urgent care - I should have gone to the hospital. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have been to this urgent care since I started Kaiser coverage in 2020 and it has been a bad experience every time I have gone - it’s essentially a waste of time because they don’t seem to actually help you. Today, I got checked in at the front desk and told them what was going on and was sent downstairs to urgent care. I waited about 15 minutes for the urgent care nurse to call me back to the first room to take my vitals and talk about what was going on. He actually said “Isn’t it weird to have a reaction to allergy shots? You’re having an allergy to something they give you to make your allergies better?” My response was “well, they are injecting you with stuff you are allergic to…”. How does a nurse in urgent care not know this? That should have been my cue to pack up and go to the ER, but I stuck with it. Got back to a room, waited about 20 minutes and a nurse came in to see me (no urgency or anything…I’m just having a systemic reaction that may turn in to anaphylaxis, but no big deal. This is not my first reaction to allergy shots - I had a reaction in 2014 where my doctor at the time treated me with epinephrine) and was told the doctor would be in to see me in a bit. Waited about 45 minutes to see the doctor. His bedside manner was absolutely terrible. It seemed like he was sarcastically laughing at everything I said and not taking me seriously. I had a huge welt at the injection sites on my arm that ballooned up and was red and hot - I couldn’t even get anybody to look at that or touch it to assess how bad my reaction was. The doctor ordered an IV with antihistamines added to the solution along with a breathing treatment. This did help my symptoms, but administering epinephrine would have knocked everything out and prevented possible anaphylaxis much more quickly. My previous doctor wouldn’t have even hesitated as they treated ANY sort of reaction that way to keep it from progressing. I do have an epi-pen but didn’t want to use it until after I was seen by somebody, plus I didn’t want to be driving right after administering an epi because I was by myself. I’m pretty sure that they all just assumed I was having a panic attack and didn’t actually take me seriously. I will avoid this location from now on if I can."
