"I had surgery on 08/15/2023 and pre paid the deductible and costs on the day of surgery. The surgery center did not bill my insurance company for over a month. Other Dr charges were coming in and I soon meet my out of pocket max. After following up with them week after week, they finally billed insurance. As other bills have been processed, I have now over paid them $407.32. I requested a refund in October, November and now again in December. Do not pay them the total cost upfront if they are not going to refund. Let them bill insurance and then pay. Do not expect them to return phone calls. Sadly, I would give a 5-star review for the staff at the front desk and the nurses. They were amazing! The 1-star review is only because they will not refund my check. for $407.32. I will remove this review if they send my check. In fact, I will come and pick it up! As they keep telling me the "check is in the mail""

"The surgical staff was great! The billing is shady at best. I had my procedure almost 1 year ago. I was required to pay $2600 up front and then make 3 more payments of $880 each. After all was said and done I over paid by $3500 and it's been all but impossible to get updates. After months and months of phone calls, VM's and emails (only about 5-10% being returned) I was finally given a partial refund in July but am still waiting on $1800. I can only imagine the amount of threatening calls from collection agencies I would have received had I been the one owing them money!! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!"

"It's unfortunate to do this because the surgery and staff were wonderful but it's their billing department that has made this a horrid experience. They requested what was remaining of my out of pocket max up front for my surgery and then dragged their feet in submitting the claim to my insurance. Because of this I've had to pay much more than my out of pocket max due to medical bills associated with my rehab and PT being processed sooner. When trying to get the difference refunded to me now that the claim is finally processed, the billing department is of no help, unresponsive, an nebulous in their answers. The claim even had to be processed a second time because they didn't submit it correctly to insurance. I've been out almost a month's worth of paychecks for 6 months on top of my out of pocket max already being paid, and there seems to be no sign of me getting my money back despite calling every week. That's the other bad part; the billing department never connects you to a live person, you are sent straight to voicemail and have to hope someone calls you back."

"The surgery and staff were fine. It's been 13 months since my surgery and I'm still fighting them to get over $4,400 of the deductible that they required pre surgery that insurance paid since they were later than others in filing their bill with insurance. I've now left voice mails, talked to their central billing office, etc and no one can help me get answers as to why I have seen nothing from them including refunded money they were paid by my insurance! I've had numerous procedures and know medical billing is complicated, but 13 months after, with 2 months since their central billing asked them to resolve this?"
