"The worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's office. Here's a list of the fun experiences I've had after just one appointment. STAY AWAY 1. I was assigned to Dr. DiLorenzo, who I found upon arrival was running over 40 minutes late. In reality, I waited over an hour to be seen. 2. Dr. DiLorenzo was completely dismissive of my concerns and tried to leave the office several times before I was finished. Twice I had to ask him to stay and listen since I had more to ask about. Most of my concerns were met with "just eat more vegetables." Completely unconcerned with my health. 3. The staff gave me no direction after DiLorenzo left. I wandered around until someone pointed me towards the room where I would have blood taken. 4. I was referred to a company for a sleep study. A month after completing the study, I heard nothing back. I called that company who told me they sent the results to New West 3 weeks ago. I have had no contact from them. 5. I was emailed a survey where I voiced my concerns and check the box for a callback. I also asked for a callback in the notes and nobody has called me. This is a garbage operation full of people who couldn't care less about their patients. Dr. DiLorenzo should be ashamed of the lack of care he showed."
"This office is closing, thank God. Since being purchased by Optim healthcare the practice became questionable. I discovered predatory billing; I was being charged for procedures that I didn’t receive, visits that didn’t happen, time spent with a doctor that didn’t occur. They acknowledged fault. It took one year, over 20 phone calls, and filing a complaint with the Board of Medicine to resolve this issue. One of their own physicians at this practice (who I reported to the Board of Medicine) told me during a visit that they were being sued by other patients for this billing practice. In a country where medical services are commodified to a disgusting extent, this is appalling. Truly the most suspicious and egregiously predatory practice I’ve ever seen. If you are or were a patient of New West Physicians, ask for your entire billing history and compare it to when you were seen, what you were treated for (if anything), and time spent in an examination room with a doctor. Trust me."
"I have only been a patient here for about 4 months. The PA I see is amazing. However, I have had some extreme bruising appear on my body in the last two days and decided to call and try and get an appointment. All I will say is that whoever the front desk people or schedulers are need some additional sensitivity training. I think it is absurd to be a concerned and vulnerable person looking for help and being met with a rude and condescending tone. Hope the person I spoke to feels good about themselves."
"My doc is great, but the New West Physicians administrative conglomerate is terrible. I'm still on hold after 30+ minutes just to ask a question about a referral that still hasn't happened. Way too many patients and way too few people to run the business. If you have options, take your business elsewhere. Follow up: I received a note that my PCP has now left the practice. Perhaps his experience as an employee was poor as well. Thanks for the referral, but I suspect that if you have a "Patient Experience" group you have problems with patient experiences. I do hope your business model breaks soon and we can get some decent care on the west side of town again (yeah, I'm talking to you Optum/UnitedHealth)."
"The billing practices of this practice are terrible. I had a small charge that was incorrectly charged to me, and I have called their billing provider 3 times since last March trying to resolve it. They have never resolved it for me, and just sent me a notice that they are sending me to collections! For a charge under $20. It is ridiculous. I have paid this practice hundreds if not thousands of dollars out of pocket and they are sending me to collections for a charge under $20 that they are unable to resolve for me. BEWARE, if you have billing issues, you will not be able to get them resolved at this practice."
