"I have known Joe Castellano as a colleague and a friend for several years now. As a colleague I find his drive to better serve his clients matched with his heart of compassion. As a father I have watched him connect with his children in grace and wisdom. As a human I have watched him patiently and tirelessly work to benefit others without any drive for a selfish benefit or gain. Joe is a gem of a human being, an astute clinician, and a deep friend. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a clinician that is as interested in their soul as much as the clinical enterprise."
"I can honestly say Joe is one of the very few people I have met who has a TRUE passion for what he does - you can feel it in the way he talks about it and the energy, care, and love he brings to his business and clients. Even though Neurotherapy is a more science-y approach to the issues one may be experiencing, Joe has not only that knowledge and technology but also a deep understanding of spirituality and the quantum perspective. Which are integral to me when it comes to choosing a “healing” modality or practitioner. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous to get “hooked up” with who knows what gadgets, and I wasn’t looking forward to getting bad news if there was any. But as soon as I walked in the office, I felt a warm, casual atmosphere, and was met by Tristan who made me feel at ease through the QEEG assessment. Jokingly I had said “you’re putting gel in my hair? Don’t mess up my HAIR!.” And Joe had obviously overheard me and told Tristam to use the least amount possible. It’s a little things like that that show that they both really care. Joe also has a way with relaying the information from the scans - using the perfect balance of humor and honesty so that I know what’s happening in my brain without feeling like I’m broken. He also breaks down the jargon so I can actually understand what he’s explaining as well. . I recommend Alpine Neurotherapy for anyone who is ready and willing to try something new in their health care - whether it’s ADHD, chronic pain, or the many other things this work can improve. Thanks Joe and Tristam! I’m looking forward to my meditation session with the new gadget you just got too!"
"The staff at Alpine Neurotherapy made me feel very comfortable while they recorded my brain activity and they answered all my questions. This is the place to go to, for Neuro Feedback therapy."
"I'm a rock climber of about 6 years who worked with Joe Castellano at Alpine Neurotherapy to help break through a plateau I've been stuck in for the past few years. A friend recommended me to Joe who introduced me to HRV (Heart Rate Variability) Training as a way to progress my rock climbing capabilities. I was initially skeptical by HRV - the idea of controlling your heart rate via breathing techniques seemed like it couldn't offer me much. For a long time, I thought my failure to climb more difficult routes stemmed from a lack of strength and skill, so I continued to push myself in physical training, not paying attention to how much of a mental game climbing was. HRV was a humbling experience, sitting down daily to focus on how I breathe when I'm relaxed and when I'm stressed, but it has helped me perform at a higher level of climbing in 6 months than what any of my physical training has done over the last 4-5 years. The ability to control my breathing as a way of helping lower my heart rate has been absolutely essential to maintaining a strong head-game when fighting through a crux section of a rock climb or navigating dangerous terrain in the alpine. I went from being afraid of following nerve-wracking Eldo-Canyon traverses and struggling to lead 5.10 sport climbs to comfortably soloing easy climbing, leading trad multi-pitches, and pushing myself more aggressively into harder sport climbing terrain. An interesting side effect of HRV training is that it's helped control my anxiety in everyday life too. My ability to focus and maintain a clear head in stressful business meetings and perform well while playing drums for a local church's worship team has seen dramatic improvements. I find myself less likely to panic or lose my cool in tense situations. The HRV breathing techniques Joe Castellano helped me develop have been a game-changer and I couldn't be more happy with the results. I took for granted how much of an effect my breathing had on my heart rate and my mental game, but the work Joe has done to help me get it under control continues to show value in stressful circumstances, whether on a heady trad climbing route or at work. I highly recommend working with Joe to learn more about how HRV can benefit your life like it did mine."
"Alpine Neurotherapy has helped give me an edge as an athlete and competitor because it has been a key tool in sharpening my skills mentally. Specifically with performance of “being in the zone” and keeping focused with the task at hand. I highly recommend this for other athletes that want to compete at their highest potential. - Tyler Kempney World Cup Ice Climbing Athlete"
