"I do NOT recommend either the Circle or Rams programs unless you absolutely have no other inpatient recovery option. I am being very generous with giving them two stars. I found out not long after being in these programs how many corners were being cut by this organization presumably to keep operating expenses down. One thing is that this is mostly a peer driven program with primarily counselors who themselves are not long into recovery (or possibly still drinking or using secretly) and who are also poorly trained. You will not be finding anybody who has degrees in addiction medicine working in these programs. Mostly the information you will be given to work on your problem will either be 12 steps based (again to keep operating expenses down) or just some worksheets that are handed out that are easily available for anybody off the internet. It is unfortunate that this program is really all that is offered for people on Medicaid who live on the Western slope. *Also, their detox is also really bad. Us patients would frequently hear the nursing staff who work there loudly making derogatory comments about all of us while sitting in their bubble. Some of the nurses have shockingly foul mouths."
"Mind springs sucks. I’ve now been off my meds for 3 months, I had a good psych doc for 2 months and he left. They have canceled multiple apts, my new psych talked to me for a whole 19 minutes before ending the session and prescribed me a high dose to start with for my meds when I asked them about it they wouldn’t lower the dose. These people are a joke. They have been charging me out of pocket for my apts and such even though I have insurance because they have two accounts for me in the system and refuse to fix it. They send my meds to the pharmacy under the wrong name ect. It’s a joke. Their care is horrible. I will not be coming here ever again, I plan on contacting the state and complaining as well. They need to be shut down. Also I did contact the patient advocate and anyone else who could help me and no one was willing!"
"I am pretty new to MS for help with MS and a TBI. Haha, I did that on purpose. I am new to mind springs for help with understanding a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis and how it effects my mentality. I also had a serious traumatic brain injury that also effects my mentality. I just got off the phone was Carissa in Medical Records, she was very willing to help me receive my records. Her kindness and excitement to help me was outstanding. She made me feel very comfortable to talk to her. Sometimes talking to someone is not so comfortable so that was refreshing. I could tell that Carissa truly cared about my health. Thank you mind springs for having amazing employees like Carissa. My other experiences at Mind springs have been very helpful so far in setting my mind back onto a very productive path. Keep it up!"
"It's a good "default" mental health practice. Like if you have no idea where to go or if you have that one friend that just needs to be in therapy pronto, this is the first place to check. They have a jobs program, though I've never used it myself so I don't know anything about it. Apparently it's called "the Oasis". Their therapy services are okay, but I've noticed that it seems that they're always in training. From my observations, they do well enough for helping someone out who's in crisis mode, but if you need a longer term therapist you'll likely want to look into finding a private practice. Among myself and all of my friends who've used Mindsprings for therapy, it just seems to be the norm that our experiences drastically improved once we found an outside therapist we clicked with. I do appreciate their psychiatry services. They've been pretty good about medication management, and staying on top of things like side effects. The one downside is that it can be difficult to get hold of your psychiatrist outside of an appointment. I'd appreciate it if they had some sort of patient portal with messaging system to make that easier, but if they have it I'm not aware of it. Their on-site pharmacy, Genoa, is actually pretty good save for the fact that you do need to call them or go in to order your refills and can't just tap a button in an app like you can with Walgreens. Apparently they can bundle all of your meds into a blister pack, which is really nice if you tend to have issues remembering if you took your meds. Somehow the staff remember my name, which was actually surprising but nice since I didn't think I went there that often. Overall, it's a good "default" in case you don't have anything else lined up. If you're pressed for time or just don't want to deal with a bunch of institutions, it's also nice to have all the services under one roof."
"Frustrated. Mindsprings was the only mental health clinic with providers available when I needed a new therapist. Told me my insurance was accepted and that my copays wouldn’t be high. Come four months later when I finally get a bill and I’m at nearly $1000 in care costs. Over $400 for the initial intake visit alone. Trying to get to the right people to deal with this in finance was a nightmare. Not to mention I can never get my medication refilled because Walgreens can’t reach my provider or the provider denies the refill for no given reason. Hopefully things improve."
