"1/20/24: Dr Christianson in Delta is thorough & explains things well. However, the lady (NOT the one with long blonde hair) at one of the 2 desks in the lobby was unfriendly, non-smiling, & when I asked for my new, printed prescription said, "I already gave it to you", which she had NOT! I said no you haven't given me anything, I only have the papers I came in with. She says, "I'll reprint it then" in her prim, unsmiling way. She never ONCE cracked a smile! No one gave me a printed copy of the charges for the visit, she said I'd get a bill in the mail, of whatever isn't covered. She then gave me this confusing spiel that they don't cover or take Medicare? Even though United Healthcare DOES cover eye exams & frames!! The last time I had an exam, they gave me paperwork showing the charges.....why would you stop doing that? 2 years ago I bought more expensive frames that I was told would be replaced free if I accidentally broke them. That lady yesterday said no, it's only the manufacturer's warranty & doesn't cover accidental breakage! SO, are they having employees lie to get us to buy more expensive frames?? I wasn't given any paperwork regarding this warranty, which I found out yesterday expires in May. I was not told any of this 2 years ago! And yes, I should've asked, it didn't occur to me; not knowing I was being lied to! I had never even had actual prescription glasses before! My husband was told they would refill his little spray bottles of lens cleaner there, for free. He went there & asked to have them refilled & the girl said, no, that's not "our" bottle! What freaking difference does it make?? That alone made him decide not to go back there and I will not be back either."
"The lady up front that ‘helps’ with the glasses is snotty, rude, and acted completely inconvenienced when I went in to have my glasses adjusted. Not sure what her problem was, but it was like she was trying to mess them up. She came out and had totally bent the side bar of of shape, and acted annoyed when I told her that it wasn’t even straight. It is still slightly misshappen. Only redeeming quality is the nice young woman that stepped in and took the time to make frames fit my head. She just walked away mid helping me and passed it off to the other young woman without saying anything. She has had an attitude since I first went in for glasses, and I really should have taken that as a sign to not give them my business. I am truly not sure what I did to get her attitude, but genuinely disappointing. Glasses are very expensive. Will not shop there again."
"Finding access to doctors that don't just CLAIM to work with special needs (ASD) is so difficult. However, Dr. Brown and staff were so incredibly patient and kind to my little one, I wish I could leave 10 stars. One of the best encounters I've ever had within any type of health profession. Not once did they ask me to "just hold him down." They kept him comfortable, and gave him all the time/space/special procedures he needed. Your special needs little one is safe in their hands, I'm happy to say!"
"My experience here was mediocre, to put it nicely. The exam was okay and the doctor was nice, however the doctor told me one thing about pricing for glasses and said he wouldn’t charge me a fitting fee for contacts and then the lady who was “ringing” me up told me the complete opposite about pricing and said they would charge me a fitting fee for contacts so I was confused, after asking her to explain it to me because the doctor told me something else she got an attitude with me. She picked my frames out for me and was adding “add ons” to my bill that I didn’t ask for, such as premium scratch resistant lenses, which added an extra $90 on to my bill, I had to ask her to remove it from my bill because I couldn’t afford it at that time, I felt like she was trying to talk me into buying it by saying things like “we really recommend this” and “you will see a difference if you get this” Felt like I was talking to a car salesmen!"
"By far the best eye experience I've ever had! The ladies at the frunt desk are so helpful and nice. They had no problem answering all my questions about billing and insurance and they were great when working with my schedule to fit in all my family. The exam was very thorough and the Doctor explained everything clearly to me. Last but not least they have the most spunky and sweet ladie to help you pic out the perfect frame and customize them to exactly what you need and want. All the staff was just Amazing! I'll never go anywhere els!!"
