"Real question Briargate Medical Group: What in the world is going on with Optum billing your medical group uses? It has taken a year for me to pay for a doctors visit... I had a doctors appointment October 2021 and received a bill from Optum 3 months later. I tried paying online and there was NO reference or outstanding bill. I then call to pay and am being told there is a zero balance. I said how can that be I have a reference billing code and a bill right in front of me telling me this. "No mam you owe nothing".... Months later I get the same bill and no records online and try to pay again.... Nothing on record. I just paid my doctors visit from a YEAR ago today. This is absolutely TERRIBLE. I really can't imagine people who have multiple visits a year. Fix your billing provider please. Until then I'm trying out a different medical practice with a functioning billing system."

"Still forcing people to wear masks and will give you dirty glances if you don't. Doesnt matter if you have 10yrs of medical history/professionals stating why you can't. They'll also have you sit waiting for your blood draw long after everyone else who came in with you (after you in line) has been called in. We didn't ask to have medical issues that prevent masks (we don't want to hyperventilate and pass out as we have history of) which SHOULDN'T be a big thing to ask and expect from people. But they don't care about your conditions. They just want you to follow their rules. Go to the other location if you have high anxiety like me (which can trigger panic attacks due to the increase of fear). I want to like this place...but never feels welcoming. More like a "club" where you should fit their expectations before being given good service and care."

"I have to leave this doctor’s office and should have a long time ago. Took them 8 months to diagnose my lung cancer and by that time it was stage 4, and I finally had to ask for a CT scan or I would be dead by now. Before diagnosis I asked for an upper GI and it took them over a month to get that for me. So I had an appointment on May 15, 2020, and last week tried to get a prescription filled for my blood pressure medicine which I had filled by the doctor on May 7th and have been taking for more than 6 months. Talked to the RN nurse and she said they had no record of the script. When I told her I could give her the script number she wasn’t interested. When I called back to get status, the same RN nurse tells me the doctor doesn’t want me on that medicine but my previous one. I told her the previous one made my ankles swell. She said I have to make a new appointment with the doctor. I told her I just had an appointment but she insisted. I told her I’ll just find a new doctor. Very sad! Now I see why they have such a low rating!"
