Modern Motel

"The Modern Motel is awesome y'all! Carlos , and all of the staff here have been welcoming towards my family and I when we had pipes break at home and were under a lot of stress. They all gave us a chance to put things back together some. The rooms are new and clean ,inviting. The staff , Carlos and the lady's are friendly, helpful and just want to thank them for the hospitality! Nice Motel much needed in Downtown Colorado Springs."

"I was staying there and dye to the bad weather and Carlos and the owner doesn't understand that the car wash was closed due to the bad weather last week I only worked 2 days and yet Carlos demands that I have to pay the $100 since I only paid $200 last Wednesday. NOBODY UNDERSTANDS THAT A CAR WASH IS CLOSED DURING SNOW AND RAIN AND BAD WEATHER. Carlos should of never treated me like that he's greedy person"

"Wanted a place to stay while attending a show at Pikes Peak Center. This motel is walking distance. We checked in at 4pm. Fairly quiet in the parking lot. Went out for dinner before the show, returned to the motel and was creepy! Apparently, some rooms are long term rentals. People hanging out outside rooms, lots of smoking and cell phone activity. After observing a while, pretty clear there is some nefarious activity happening here. One guy, probably a long term renter, is working on his van in the parking lot. This is probably NOT a safe place for families. We checked out at 7PM, went to the show and drove 1.5hours home. I would never recommend this place to anyone."

"Booked a room here on a Wednesday night through Expedia for a total of $123. Felt that the price was a little high for the room, should have maybe been a total of $80 per night for a weeknight. Stayed here with my husband and teenage son. The room was stuffy and the A/C didn't really adequately cool the room. I could hear full conversations of our next door neighbors. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The blinds don't keep light out so bright sun woke us all up at 630am. You can also hear the noise from the street pretty frequently. It felt like someone just randomly purchased a bunch of items from Home Depot and then installed them on their own, you could see caulking and uneven paint everywhere. The bathroom didn't feel adequately cleaned, there was makeup, fingerprints, hair and smudges all over the place. The room didn't smell like any type of cleaner, it smelled like smoke when we walked in. Overall it was ok, but the price felt too high so I wouldn't recommend or stay here again. I will say that everyone who worked here was incredibly friendly and helpful though."
