"I have fond memories there. It's a great place to learn all aspects of what you face in future times. What I mean is you get more than education and trade training, this place encourages thoughts of planning for your bright future. It was tough but all things in life worth having are. You create a brotherhood amongst the other students and memories that last for the rest of your life. I have encouraged a lot of young people, that dropped out of high school, to enroll in the Collbran Job Corps."
"This place has been fun. The only reason anyone gets ZT (kicked out) is because of their stupidity. Everyone here is so nice and does their jobs as well as possible. They really care for us. You should come here you will love it just don't be stupid and follow the rules"
"I was there back in 2011 and it was hell on earth. I they constantly accused me of smoking weed evwrn though I would have if I could but couldn't get my hands on it. Forced me to take classes I was not interested in. Made lots of enemies but also some friends. The food was trash the art teacher who also ran the drug class dont remember what they called it wanted to sleep with me. And on top of all that the damn place is is haunted."
"A staff member brought three very well-mannered young men to my hair shop for haircuts. What a great representation of Collbran & our local Job Corps. The staff and the students represented your establishment in the best way possible!"
"This place gave me my life back. I'm so thankful for what these people did for me. You gotta work for it though. I'm sure the critical reviews are from people who couldn't do it. It's not easy, but it's so beneficial. Every job I applied for has hired me. Been at my present one for 5 years. They gave me my GED, High School Diploma and a trade completion in Culinary Arts. This place is there for people who are serious about changing their lives. I was a complete failure before I went in 2012. No future whatsoever. They gave me a second chance. If you are going just to screw around or don't want to follow the rules, don't bother. I pay for this now. My taxes help fund this program. Don't waste them. To those worried about how strict it is, it's a short sacrifice of your time for years of benefit. If you pay attention, you learn skills that can take you far. They even offered CDL while I was there, though I didn't take advantage of that. Something I definitely regret in 2021. Take advantage of the services in this place. It's worth the effort. I definitely recommend."
