"New ownership has made better rates and great staffing in the front. They explain everything and make you feel comfortable. It's a little cold if you aren't climbing, so come with some warm stuff. I paid for my 2 girls to climb, and we can come and go as we please until 9pm. That's a good deal in these times, that's for sure!! Thanks for a great day of fun!"
"So many in the climbing community are looking forward to the new change that hopefully comes with a change in ownership. The gym already is so much cleaner and it seems like a lot of people have been coming back. All of the new holds and volumes are a welcome addition too. I hope yoga and more classes make a return as well as community events. It's pretty strange for the gym to have the word YOGA on the side of the building and not have yoga. It would be great if the fitness area got updated in the future. Perhaps some cable machines? On the topic of setting, it seems like there may only be one setter left. I really miss the diversity of setters this gym used to have. I especially miss climbing Chris' routes. They were always diverse and challenging and high quality. Being down to a single setter has been a huge talking point for members. No matter how good a setter is, we need to have more. All in all, it's super exciting to have an owner who is already making positive impacts to a long neglected gym!"
"We have climbed at this gym many times because of the free rentals and entrance for kids 5 and under… the new ownership has removed this policy. We were here a few weeks ago under the new ownership and the policy was still in place and we were told by the front desk person that they were going to keep the policy, so it blindsided us to say the least when our family of 4 showed up today and had to pay for our 2-year-old (who climbs for about 10 mins then loses interest). It’s a poor decision and it seems like the employees were not well informed on the owner’s intent to remove the policy. Its a disappointment and will cause us to explore other places to climb in Grand Junction."
"Twice we've been here and thea A male first and then a female. Not a hi, not a smile, just bored looking teens making a buck. They have no energy and just seem like business is a nuisance. I'm sure weekends are a busier time and you'd think you'd have staff that actually want to be there helping customers. I'll be changing our future party plans for sure."
"Edit: owner contacted us and apologized and refunded us. We do wish their kids programs were better, our son loves to climb. This is probably the worst run facility in grand junction. Tonight we had the third terrible experience and we’ll never go back. Zero supervision, the employees are clueless, rude desk people. this is clearly an ownership problem. Now we have to try to get our money back. Heading over to Grip bouldering instead from now on. Stay away! Someone buy this beautiful facility the current owners ain’t it."
