Reviews of Monarch High School
"Literally hate high school it is the absolute worst part of life"
"Thank you to Monarch staff for caring about students and providing an environment where students can join clubs of all sorts. There are luncheons and welcome committees for new students, school announcements and lots of parent communications. I find that the students are courteous, they hold the door open to parents walking in and the office staff is friendly. You can make what you want out of your high school experience and Monarch provides a means to do so."
"Unfortunate lack of support for any student with medical condition requiring 504 plan accommodations. Sadly, this state of affairs shows no sign of improvement since the HS opened. If your teen is the stereotypical high schooler, including body composition for girls, athletic, high achieving, and from a higher socioeconomic background, he or she will likely enjoy their experience. All others may want to consider transferring, not just out of Mohi, but out of BVSD all together. Three children in HS over the span of 12 years only served to solidify this perception. Truth is, teens in surrounding districts have far less homework and stress, earn just as good an education, and stil have time for life outside of school."
"Graduated in 2012, the school is good, the teachers as well. Every so often they'll get one bad apple, but they'll be gone by the end of the year. The marching band has always been phenomenal and the football team was good when I was there. The Student Council tries to get everyone spirited, even though it's a high school, there's only so much you can do. They have a good amount of AP and CUSucceed classes that really helped me get through college faster, and I felt like I was prepared for it, considering I didn't have to retake any intro courses during college like many of my friends. It's a great school, and better than most other Boulder Valley schools."
"The teachers are all great and are super friendly. They are willing to do most everything to help students who are falling behind."
