Reviews of Rooter-Man of Montrose
"Rooter-Man came and pumped out my septic. Called and it was really easy to schedule, they had appointments within a week, but I wasn't in a rush and ~2 weeks out got my preferred time. They have two size trucks and one is smaller and they used that to cross the bridge to my property. Make sure you let them know if there is a reason they should use the smaller truck. They called ~30 minutes prior to coming and were here during the window. Price was the price quoted on the phone. Simple, professional, and will use again."
"I have had a professional relationship with A Rooter Man for the past 10+ years and would highly recommend him for any septic needs that should arise. I have been in the wastewater field for the last 17 years and have never had a single issue with their quality, knowledge and professionalism. He is a quality septic contractor that I respect. As I was reading all the 5 star reviews, I came across the 1 star gem that is clearly written by someone who doesn't understand utilities or how infrastructure works. Rooter Man does NOT perform excavation services and will only recommend top quality contractors that meet his high level of standards. Any rough quotes he might give on costs to repair a system or it's corresponding piping are just that, rough quotes. I highly doubt that he would have stated that a $75k repair was needed. Rooter Man has been in the business for many years and treats his customer's with the utmost respect. I personally feel the 1 star review is unjustified and brought about by someone that isn't willing to fix their system correctly for future potential buyers. "Good work isn't cheap and cheap work isn't good""
"Rooter man came over to inspect our sewer line for a potential buyer for the home we are selling. Our line has a slight bow that holds water and also roots growing in a small separation in the joint or crack in the line. The section of the line where roots are gowing is approximately 3ft long and the pipe is buried 3ft deep in our drive way. We were also told that the bow in the line was "in the street" and could potentially freeze...it's down 8ft deep. This issue was made out to be extreme to the extent we would need traffic control because the street would need to be shut down for repairs. My wife and I, along with the potential home buyer, were told it could cost upwards of 50k-75k to repair since a large part of the problem area was under the city street. After rooter man's inspection, I immediately called an excavation company for a second opinion as what rooter man stated did not sit right with us. They came out the following day with proper locating equipment and snake camera. Video and pictures were taken as well as my driveway being marked appropriately for repairs. Come to find out, the issue is nowhere near as extreme and nowhere out into the street. Not only was the rooter man's location of the problem area off by 10+ feet for both issues, it was also only 12k at the high end of costs to repair. The rooter man doesn't do repairs of this nature but has a "suggested buddy" who does this kind of stuff. I view this as very dishonest and completely innacurate. The problem area the rooter man claimed was so severe scared off our buyer and was not even located into the street like they claimed. Luckily for us we had the second opinion and an accurate inspection from experienced, honest professionals who actually fix these problems with proper equipment. So the moral of this story is, do not use this service. Their locating skills are below satisfactory and they seem to want to take advantage of vulnerable people. 0 out of 10 do not recommend"
"I called these guys out to check my septic system because my plumber said I had some back-up grey water coming back into the crawl space. They came out in a timely manner, even tho the time frame was not going to fit nicely in their schedule they still came out. They located and inspected the septic and told me everything was in working order and the plumber was wrong. They told me to not worry about the service fee and just call them up if/when the time comes to pump it out. They even told me how to get a riser in so that pumping the tank will be much more effective. Great family business! Highly recommended by a local homeowner :)"
"We needed to locate an existing septic system, determine the size and where the underground pipes had been placed for future building purposes. Craig, Greg and Anthony worked hard and located all the existing lines, septic tank, leach field and tested. Craig ran a camera through the lines and showed us what was going on underground. They were on time to the site every morning, worked while on the property, and were knowledgeable about the entire set up and informed us about how everything had been laid out. Great crew to work with, have no reservations about recommending them."
