"This school has very great academics and is very good at getting your child into a good high-school. The class sizes are too small and there is only 2 teachers in middle school. Once your child leaves this school and goes to highschool he/she has a chance of having some social problems or anxiety due to the small class sizes and faculty. The kids there are great and really make friends with new people. As an alumni from beacon i would say it could be much better and is too expensive for 140 kids."

"I cannot recommend this school enough. My daughter attended 5th grade at Beacon last year and will now move into the middle school there. The small class size and the attention that the students get because of this has changed our daughter's path in school. She is doing more academically than we ever thought was possible. Also, the culture of the school is extremely nurturing and this has helped her as well. It's a wonderful community of staff and parents and we are so happy that we found this school."

"It took about two years of searching and visiting schools to find the perfect school for our child. We feel very happy that we finally found Beacon. I had a multiple criteria that I had based my search and reasons why Beacon was chosen. Beacon has, however, provided even more than what I asked for. One criteria that appeals to us, for example, was strong academic results (scoring among the very best schools in the country). Yet, I am delighted to find out that kids has excelled far beyond what is required at the grade level and learning can be deeper than what is found on standardized tests. The class sizes are small and it allows children, all of them, to actively participate in classroom discussions. My kid was rather shy before Beacon. Now she does not hesitate to share her views. Learning is so much fun, everyday school life is fun, and it is such a joy for us to watch. School also focuses on raising her whole being, not just education but morale as well. When I go to school every morning and see how all the kids behave, I know they are more than just smart kids. It is one of the only schools I have been to where the kids will actually hold the doors for adults and have exceptional manners. I observe the approach teachers make to help kids and they are all are kind and effective. We just can not say enough good words about faculty, either. I adore the passion, knowledge and experience the school's faculty possess. Make a visit to school and you'll see difference."

"As a former student, I can say that Beacon Country Day School has prepared me so well for my high school education. Some might feel a bit itchy about the idea of such a small school, but trust me when I say that socializing in a large school is so easy, even changing from such a small social group. I look around in many of my honors classes, and I can tell that I am much more prepared for this than others. At Beacon they make it so easy for you, so much more prepared for life than others, they not only teach you school smarts, but street smarts as well. The education you receive from hands on teacher to student relations, it is simply amazing, the care they put into the students, it is just one big happy family. All of the students are like brothers and sisters and care for each other, if Beacon went up to twelfth grade, I would honestly stay. If you are still debating on whether or not you should send your kids to Beacon, just go, do it, it's worth it in the long run."
