La Petite Ecole

"Our son has been attending La Petite Ecole for a little over two years now, and he is going to graduate in the summer of 2024. He loves this place! He adores Patricia and Alex, and their cozy house with a huge backyard for the kids to play in. We were referred by another bilingual family, where English wasn’t the primary language spoken at home. When our son started at this school, he didn't speak any English, but in just over six months, he began speaking English with us and others. In the beginning, he experienced some attachment anxiety, but whenever I left feeling sad, Patricia would send me a text reassuring me that our son was safe, loved, taken care of, and happily playing with the other children. Her messages always put my mind at ease. Our primary language is not French, and our main concern was for our son to learn English. We expressed our wishes, and Patricia was very helpful and understanding. However, since our son is exposed to French, he can count in French, excuse himself from the table in French, he knows many animals in French (and many more words, but we just don’t understand any of them) and I often hear him singing in French, which is very cute. I appreciate having the school schedule with all the holidays and breaks for the year, as well as a planned schedule for each month. I enjoy participating in the monthly field trips, where I can observe my son's interactions with other children and communicate with other parents to learn more about their families. Our son is a "picky eater" at home, but at school, he loves all the homemade meals that Patricia provides and never refuses the food. Now, at home, he is showing an interest in cooking and setting the table. Based on the photos and videos that Patricia shares (ClassDojo), they all participate in cooking and preparing their meals. I also appreciate the beautiful environment that our son is in. Patricia is an artist and very creatively inclined. The house is filled with her paintings, and the kids always engage in creative art activities. Every Friday, we collect their creations and enjoy them at home. I'm grateful for all the attention the kids receive, especially during their birthdays. Our son loves the color green, so all his birthday decorations, plates, utensils, cake, and gifts were in green. He was beyond happy! Additionally, what is precious to me is that Patricia finds a way to connect with every parent. She is a good listener and is happy to provide knowledgeable advice about the child’s behavior. I appreciate all the conversations and feedback. We highly recommend this in-home daycare/preschool. Your child will be loved, well taken care of, and receive a well-rounded education. As Patricia says, kids learn best through play, and there's plenty of that at La Petite Ecole. Join our happy families!"

"I wish I could give this school more than 5 stars! My child has attended La Petite Ecole for almost 2 years now and I could not be more grateful. I wanted to find a daycare where French was a part of the curriculum (which is not easy to find here) so my child could reinforce learning the language outside the home. What a blessing it has been! Patricia, the teacher, is such an amazing person and is so great with kids. You can instantly tell by spending 5 minutes with her how much she cares for each and every student. She is very organized and plans out her curriculum in advance, sending it to the parents ahead of time. She goes above and beyond planning fun and educational activities. She even gives the kids two homemade meals a day! My child's French has greatly improved after being here and it's so precious to hear the songs that Patricia teaches being sung at home. At the end of the day she gives an update about how your kiddo did that day, which I really appreciate. If you are looking for an in-home preschool to send your child to, look no further because this is the place. You will not be disappointed!"

"We couldn’t be more grateful for La Petite Ecole! My daughter spent 3 wonderful years there before entering Kindergarten and my son started there back in September. Patricia offers a very safe, fun and loving environment for the children and guide them with empathy and kindness always. They do it all: music, stories, craft, cooking, a lot of time outside and some really cool field trips! All in both French and English! Not to mention that Patricia cooks delicious homemade meals for the kids on a daily basis, I’ve never seen this anywhere else. "We love La Petite Ecole!!! Patricia, the owner and teacher is amazing!!! I don't think it is possible to find a better preschool. The list of benefits of this preschool is so long I won't be able to mention all of them but I'll still try to mention those that matter to us the most: - Patricia is a so kind, loving, patient, creative, brilliant, organized, thoughtful person. Our kids love her and can't wait to see her. - She is an amazing cook and our sons always loved her food. They both learnt to appreciate vegetables like green beans and broccoli. - She is an amazing artist. Her drawings and paintings are beautiful. It is so beneficial for the kids to be surrounded by so much creativity. - She teaches kids on how to calmly listen to stories, share toys, play well together, cook, garden, ride a bicycle or a scooter, draw, paint, count, read, sing, dance... Our oldest old son left for kindergarten able to read simple sentences and correctly count all numbers in both English and in French. He is also very talented in sports (Her playground is awesome). Thanks to Patricia, he received a very well-rounded early education. - She celebrates birthdays with decorations, presents and cakes designed for each kid's favorite passion at the moment (dinosaurs, cars, plants, movies/series...). - Every week, she has different themes for their activities. - Every day is very well organized giving the kids very good habits: taking a nap always at the same time, always eating at the table with everyone else... - Every day, the parents get pictures of their kid's progress and fun activities on ClassDojo. - Regularly, with the help of a few parents, she takes the kids to field trips (zoo, museums, parks, pumpkin patch, butterfly pavilion, farms...). - The kids listen to a lot of music. Both of our kids now love to sing, dance and play instruments. - She gives lots of love and attention to all kids (no favoritism). - Her school is very safe and very clean. Our oldest son has asthma and never had an attack at her place. It is registered and regularly controlled for safety and hygiene. - Kids can be dropped between 8:30 and 8:45 am and picked up between 4:30 and 4:45 pm. ... If you are looking for the ideal preschool for your kid, do not look any further. Your kid will thank you later."
