"I've lived in Falcon for a couple of years and have always taken my sons to Great Clips. However, when my sons expressed interest in trying a barbershop, my husband chose AJ clipperhand. A couple times now they have came to this shop but the latest time will be our last time. Upon entering nobody really acknowledged us. I’m a white woman and have mixed children and felt overlooked because of it. Finally a man behind the register was polite and spoke to us: then two different barbers took my sons back, and I waited in the waiting room. The barber (I believe his name was Zay) cutting my one son's hair was nice, but from observing him he did not want to cut my son hair nor did it seem like he wanted to be at work at all. My son’s hair was still wet after the cut and when we got home we dried it and found extra long hairs left. What shocked me more was the overpowering smell of marijuana from the barber next to him who was cutting my youngest. It was so strong that I couldn't ignore it. Despite not leaving right away I knew it was my last time bringing them in. As soon as we got into the car, my youngest son immediately mentioned the smell… he’s 8, prompting me to speak up and prompting my husband to also agree we should never return. Sure what you do on your free time is okay but why do that stuff at work while you have children coming to a pIace you are running business out of. I overheard one of the barbers introducing himself on a phone call as the barbershop owner, very disrespectful as he ended the call and then talked about the client so bad and also referring to him as a “picky” client. And that he should pick a different place if he’s going to act like that. Very unprofessional and impolite. Also couldn’t believe the barbershop owner allowed his barbers to smell/ be that high at work… at a place of business. My husband mentioned that every time he has been there it’s been a different group of barbers. After seeing how it’s ran myself… I see why barbers don’t stay. Such an unpleasant experience. We will not be coming back. Don’t recommend children to come here."

"I've been getting my hair cut by AJ since 2019, when he was in a small single room that was not an expected location for a barbershop. It has been amazing to watch his clientele and business grow so much these past few years! He has been very accommodating whenever I have had to change appointments. He takes his time to understand what works best for the customer. Highly recommended barber shop!"

"We found AJ while living in Falcon while he was at his first shop. We have since moved to Fountain and still drive to Falcon to his new shop. AJ cuts our 3 boys and my husband and never have they come home unhappy. They love going to the shop and hanging out. I even go every now and then. AJ and his staff really know what they are doing and the prices are fair. AJ is also trying to be more involved in the community and I love that. We will continue to go to AJ Clipper Handz."
