"Horrible experience with my daughter yesterday on our summer shopping spree! Our favorite store we will never go back to! Earlier this month we went shopping and got our coupon to come back. Walked in verfied with an associate that the coupon was good expect on red tag clearance. My daughter indulge and we shopped. The RUDE cashier asked me to read my coupon aloud then denied me the promotion which was for "online only." Ok, I told her I had another they gave be at home. She read off another promotion which had not yet started. Did not find any honorable current coupon for our over $200 purchase and become snobby and rude to me and my daughter. I came home to my lovely in store coupon PROMOTION. I told my daughter RUE21 will continue to have our business but never ever at this location! "They often have really good deals. That's about all I can say. The styles are mixed and there are some good seasons and some where they are totally off, and I wouldn't want to wear a single thing in the store that day. The employees at this store are always friendly, but from my experience many are loud and fun rather than your typical polite or quiet cashier. If you are willing to do a lot of searching and sorting it can be worth the time."

"If I could give this negative stars, I would. I went in with my sister today and was looking around and we grabbed a couple things to go try on. So, as we usually do, we went into the dressing room together and told each other what we thought. Shortly after, a girl comes and pounds on the door saying first that we went into “her dressing room”. We were a bit confused as an attendant had unlocked this from specifically for us, so we replied saying that they must have been mistaken and that this was our room. She continues to yell at us to “get out” without a hint of manners. She sounded as if she were going to throw hands!! When she finally threatens to call security, she said that there is only supposed to be one person in the dressing room at a time. I don’t have a problem with the rule, however, there was no indication whatsoever about this rule. No signs or workers informed us of this policy. I wouldn’t have written a review about this store had it not been for the exceptionally unprofessional and rude attendant with blue hair and a bad attitude. We ended up not buying the dress at this location and will not be returning. I don’t advise anyone to go here if the standards they uphold their employees to is this bad."

"For years now I have been struggling to find clothing and accessories that are chic, comfortable, and affordable. As a twenty-something, I am always conscious of dressing my age which can be a challenge as most stores cater to teens and older adults, not those who are stuck in the middle. rue21 solved my dilemma and on my first trip I bought several t-shirts with lace edgings, tank-tops, a cranberry colored sweater, loose harem style pants, buy-one-get-one-free wallets (one for me, one for my sis), and bangles. The staff was super helpful and nice, giving me a coupon that worked with their sale prices so I could save over $80. I saw so many cute styles of skirts, blouses, pants, shoes, jackets, and accessories, all really well made, that I could have lived there! But I know I will be going back soon, they gave me another great coupon and I really appreciate how friendly and bright the whole store was (the music was cool and not too loud, too). A super-awesome experience! You guys & gals at Chapel Hills rue21 rock!"
