"All I gotta say, is the rudest people in this bank. If you live in Golden, I highly recommend taking your money out of there and going to On top credit union where they are the friendliest people and bank in this community. I also talked to the branch manager today, Clayton. And he thinks a 2.8 review is good and he has no problem with that."
"I went to USbank and spilr with Clayton about fraud on my account. Because we caught it early Clayton and f4aid prevention were able to make appropriate reversals on my account. I was scared and these to bank representatives helped put my nerves to rest. Thank you Clayton!"
"Untrustworthy Bank. They called me saying they need my SS info, which was strange since I submitted one month before. The lady vowed on the phone that they did not have it: BIG LIE!!! Anyway, I went there to submit it again, but they kept my passport for nearly 1 hour in there secured office (may be calling NSA or FBI :)) to verify I don't know what! The unacceptable part is that they modified my address from my US location to my home country address written on my passport without my authorization or letting me know. I just received an email notifying me the change of address. Then i started worrying about things. I called them to request a scanned copy of the paper they made me sign (allegedly regarding my W2 tax stuffs), the lady said she cant sent an electronic copy but they will provide a hard copy by post. I did not received it. I decided to close my account!!! If you are a foreigner at School of Mines, don't deal with these guys."
"US Bank cashed $8500 of fraudulent checks against my account, overdrawing it by $5000. The signatures are clearly not mine. I caught the fraud within 30 days. I reported it the instant I was aware of the theft. The checks were stolen out of a closed compartment from my locked car. They say I was negligent, and that's why my claim was denied. I have been a US Bank customer for about 15 years. I've loved US Bank: very friendly, good accounts, until I had the opportunity to interact with their Fraud Department. Worst ever! If you ever get your checks stolen, don't expect anything from US Bank. Here are some of the things they've told me: 1) Keeping checks in your bedroom is negligent. If someone breaks into your bedroom and steals them, you're liable. 2) Keeping checks in your purse is negligent. 3) Keeping checks on a counter in your house is negligent. 4) Keeping checks anywhere except a locked safe in your house is negligent. Of course, nobody outside the fraud department knows these policies (and they aren't written anywhere). I've asked a bunch of US Bank bankers (including some branch managers, and one assistant VP), and they all seem to think keeping checks in your car is fine; in fact some of them do. The Golden Branch Manager said she would have the claim escalated, claimed she did (it was of course denied), and then when I talked to the Fraud Department again, they told me it was never escalated. I guess the frontline staff isn't as nice as I thought either. So $8500 in debt now, I don't like US Bank as much. I wish they'd be as nice when you need them to be as when you're giving them your money."
"Your money isn't safe with US Bank! My brother had checks stolen out of his car and $9,000 of bad checks written against his account which overdrafted his account by $5,000. US Bank is saying he's liable for the checks because it is against their policy to keep checks in your car. Nowhere in their policies is this ever stated. Also, the signatures on the checks were totally different than his, and they claim they don't check signatures anymore and have no obligation to verify them. We've already spoken to a lawyer who assures us this is a violation of the law and we are going to sue them for the money, but it's ridiculous that they aren't refunding him the money immediately."
